Hahah its like the Lancaster was really there 😂 I actually wish it was, it would have been amazing.... although the locals probably wouldn't be impressed.
Now this one brought back some good memories, The Geronimo Restaurant was where I met our Stuart and “The Great Escape” crew to start our 1st Battle field tour. The Restaurant was/is a popular biker meeting venue.
English man here, and fellow GS rider who lives between the Mohne and Eder dams the last 16 years.Beautiful and mostly clean countryside aye, hopefully you and your mate liked it here. Just come across your site and now liked and sub'd you. 👍
We loved it, Germany is such a beautiful country. Liked the roads, history, the food and campsites, the people are friendly too. I would recommend more British Bikers go over to see. Thanks for the sub 👍
The biker cafe just after you set of is a place another UA-camr visits (The Likeable Rider). The area looks to be well worth a visit. Generally we hear the positive version of the Dam Busters raid as how it made a big impact on the war effort, and you cannot imagine what the guys in those planes went through that night, but also the people who lived downstream after the dams were breached. Planing a trip for next year so your videos are proving very helpful so thanks for taking the time to put these together. Oh, you Surpassed yourself with the special effects. 😎👍👍
Hahah Hollywood will be calling soon.... erm ok maybe not 😂 Yea true the memorial did make me think of the other side of the story, no winners in war really is there.
Thanks for the upload... Used to visit the dam back in the 80's when my old man was in the B.A.O.R. They used to have a replica of one of the bouncing bombs at one end of the dam, but when my brother joined up he went back there in the late 90's, the bomb had gone. Will need to think about my own trip out there at some point.
Another entertaining vlog mate. I did Grossglockner in August, it was easily the worst ride I have ever had anywhere! Low cloud, rain, zero visability, bloody/scary ride. I hope you manage it in better weather 👍.
When you're back in UK ,you ought to have a trip to Woodhall Spa in Lincs...it's the memorial place for the Dambusters Squadron, loads of RAF history in surrounding areas like Metheringham. Great video by the way ,would love to get there myself some time . I am a subscriber btw !.
Thanks I've added it to my list. I plan to do a dedicated Dambuster story video at some point, so that's great thanks Need to fly the drone over Lady Bower reservoir too 😉 I will gather footage over time and put it all together.
@@MotoTripTV yeah when you was at the Mohne Dam it just reminded me of Ladybower. Apparently that's where the Dambusters trained probably because of the similarity . Another thing I noticed in your vids is apart from lack of potholes Holland and Germany look awfully clean ....I mean over here there's chip bags ,cans and fast food boxes thrown all over the place .
I was based just up the road from korbecke.British 3rd Armoured div.HQ. shit posting, but the mohne made up for it in summertime😂thankyou for your vid.
Great set of videos guys, keep your good work
Thanks John 👍
Thanks for sharing, and adding the special effects.👋

It's my pleasure 👍
Great vid, informative- might need to plan this one in for myself 👍🏼

I regret not stopping there really, should have gone after we visited the dam.

The bomb would have been great, although i can imagine why locals would want it removed.
Well worth a visit Max, you wont regret it 👍
Fantastic

Naughty, the Mohnesee is a no-fly zone for drones!
I checked the maps before take off, there was no restrictions on the DJI flysafe map?
Great video 👍

Its a beautiful area, although our camp site was pretty basic.
although even that would change if the weather had been "Summertime" like 👍
Practice for this dam was done is Derwent Reservoir .
I’ll think if you check the history books, it wasn’t the ENGLISH RAF, but the BRITISH ONE ; my great uncle Guy was involved , that’s how I know
I was waiting for someone to pick me up on that, i noticed when i was editing 🤣
I think Guy was very much involved 👍
