Both great singers. Although, Chester himself has said in at least one interview that Mike was probably the best lyricist of their generation.
I myself prefers Chester’s singing style. But Mike probably wrote most of the lyrics for the band.

This song is my childhood...
For the longest time I remembered the melody but couldn't find the name or realize that it was a Linkin Park song. I literally recreated the melody with a synth in GarageBand that I thought sounded the closest to what I could remember and tried to use Siri to see if she'd recognize it but it wouldn't work :,) its so refreshing to finally hear it again
@@valerievention it wasn't called Linkin Park back then. I'm not sure why but they changed names 3 times. When they came out with this song their band name was " Living things "
@@RyanW3112 they were called "Xero" in the nineties, then at the beginning of the 2000s they were called "Hybrid Theory", then they changed their name again to "Linkin Park" sometime between 2000-2001. And this song is from their album called "Living Things" which was released in 2012. That's when this song was also released :D

Chester sadly died on the same day of the anniversary of my mom's death. 7-20. My mom was waaaay back in 1986.
God, I remember when this came out. Nintendo's 3DS has their own video app that promo'd this song. I hadn't listed to Linkin Park since I was in middle school at that time, so listening to this brought tears to my eyes. This is an absolute banger. Miss you Chester, rest in peace dude.

I remember when this video came out at midnight.(I was a kid back than)
I had a test at 8am in the morning, but I din't care because I just wanted to listen to the new single of the new album from my all time favorite band.
Back in the day, the effects of this video were awesome, it really looked like Chester was burning.
I also remember a lot of people commenting that the song sounded like a combination of New Divide with Waiting for the end.

This is one of the songs I remember hearing during childhood. Then my friends years later told me they were awesome, I listened but took a break. Then just about last year or two years back I got back hooked because we'll.... they're my favorite band.

I remember going to a concert a few years ago. I was honored to watch AFI open the concert, with 30 Seconds to Mars being the next act... and then finally Linkin Park. I remember losing my voice at that concert. I remember the fun everyone was having. I remember chanting ENCORE while clapping at the end and getting the whole crowd to chant it with me. This was the song they played for the encore. It was such an amazing night. I will never forget that concert.
