FB Ultra 1500 CJ and 300 CJ was great for a few days. Now carving 15mph on F800/245 with negative shims, I weigh 162, top speed at 21mph on Sacramento River. Will try the CJ300 with F800 as you mentioned. Appreciate the explanation!
Bought an air with cruiser jet 1800 and sport battery. At my weight (210) great to learn. Can now fly! A more turny wing might be next. Should I go flow 1300 or 1100? Great videos by the way.
Hey Levi, I've watched a bunch of your excellent videos! This one is by far my favorite as I'm preparing to buy (Huge investment). I demoed Lift and then Fightboard to make an educated decision. Flightboard is superior in many aspects. My demo coach here in Florida recommended the Flow 1300 / Flow 245 stab, explorer battery for my carbon pro order with tru-glide. I'm 185, 5'9". I'm in Jacksonville Beach. So, I have Atlantic super-variable ocean conditions. I also have the St John river. Smooth water is going to be somewhat rare. My priorities are 1) riding somewhat choppy ocean, 2) eventually advance to playing in the waves, and 3) sometimes destination cruising down the river. All this said, do you agree with his wings recommendation? And what are your thoughts between Flow 1300 vs Flow 1100? I would assume this would come down to 1300 just being slower and more stable. Thanks for all you do!!
Wing selection is both a factor of your weight and what kind of wave you're trying to surf. If your just learning as a heavier rider your going to have more fun starting on a crusier jet 1800 catching 2-3ft waves until your ready to catch 5-6ft waves using a smaller wing like the 1300 or 1100.
Really appreciate the detailed content. Just started with Air Pro and CruiserJet 1500. Looking forward to upgrading to a more "carvy" wing soon. You video helped immensly!!
I received good advice when purchasing this spring, and got the Pro with Cruiser Jet 1500 plus 300 (I weigh 150lbs). Perfect for learning, and still is now that I'm confident; I don't foresee buying anything else ever. The 1500 gets on foil at slower speeds which is much safer and extends the distance, which is what I care about.
Hi levi, very instructive video! I´m weighting 145 lbs and riding the 100l fliteboard 2.2 with the standart cruiser 1100 wing and 290 stab. Now I want to become more agile, i.e. attempting narrower curves and turns at a slow speed (speed level 4 (max. 5)). When I get your recommendations right, the flow s 1100 with a cruiser 300 stab would be ideal, or do you have another suggestion?
This video added massive value while doing research for potential future wing setups. Therefore, for my SiFly Rider board and as a rider of 154 lbs, I will get a 1100 Flow S / 245 Flow combination to carve and a 800 Flyer / 300 Cruiser (300 Cruiser is the basic stab of SiFly (very similar to the Cruiser Jet 300 stab)) as a standard more speedy but less dynamic setup. Can't wait to give it a try, but first I need to go on with getting more used to efoiling, started with a 1900 Cruiser / 340 Cruiser (SiFly wings) and at the next session, I'm going to first time ride the 1300 Cruiser / 300 Cruiser combination. Thanks a lot!
Glad people are finding this helpful. But keep in mind there is more to a wing than just the surface area. You can't assume the same size wings of different brands will feel the same
Looking to get my 2nd wing. Started with cruiser 1100. Given the BOGO deal from fliteboard, I am thinking a flow 900 or 1100 paired with a flow S 900/1100/1300. I like going fast and carving. Thinking I should try at least one of the 900s. Thoughts? Btw I almost bought the flyer 800 before watching this video.
I would say a flow 1100 and 900 with the 245 stabilizer if you are just looking for fast and loose. That being said both of those wings feel way better using a nano or sport battery compared to an explorer. If you really want to ride faster and carve harder consider a lighter battery.
If you were to buy 3 more wings to add to my lineup what would you buy? I already have: 900S CJ 1500 1100 flow Considering: Race setup 1300 flow 900 flow 1100S 1300S Another CJ 1500 (I have 2 setups and this would be for both people to ride while I teach if that makes sense)
Hi there, you kind of already have the most versatile wings already. I would recommend adding more stabilizers to your collection and play around with different combinations. At the end of the day it will depend on what activity you see yourself doing effect what wings you'll want to add to your stash!
Xfoil like lift places their motor on the mast, not inline with the fuselage like fliteboard. This decreases the height you can ride out of the water, the angle you can carve, and makes it easier to breach the water and crash. Flightboard has the design patent for the unibody fuselage and is the industry leader for both beginners and high performance riders. 🤙
All the flow wings are great, the easier way to carve better is by using a nano flitecell if you are not already! If you want to ride faster you can get a flow 1100 or 900. They are faster and looser but you will have to set the power level higher and it will drain more battery.
Hey this is levi from the video. I would recommend trying the new cruiser 300 stabilizer with your flow 1300s. A bigger stabilizer helps it stay level at a slower speeds. Otherwise depending on your weight sizing down to the 1100s will feels better with the 245 at higher speeds. Im around 175 and with 1100s + 245 it ride really smooth and level around lvl 4-5. 🤙
@@levithewizard I am 145....you mean cruise jet 300?...the problem is I cant stand up because it is so much nosed up...When I was renting to learn...I remember the board was remaining flat till 3/4 speed...time to easily get up
If you're 145lbs is pretty light for the flow 1300s. You're probably getting a too much lift at the speed you're trying to ride at. You can fix that in one of three ways. 1: Technique (more front foot pressure, closer foot position, and more speed) 2: Replace your 245 with a cruiser jet 300 stabilizer (which will give more lift from the back and level the board out) or 3: down size your front wing to a 1100 or 900 (as a lighter person you don't need such a big wing in the front to lift off the water)
Great review! I l love the flow 1300 with the 300 stab too 😃
This is so useful! Thanks so much!

@@guycouillard771 it depends If how fast you want to ride. The smaller the wing the faster you need to ride to lift off the water.

For carving, the 254 stab is fun! Adding negative shim in front helps keep the nose down while being more stable through turns.
Great overview. Very clear. Greetings from Sweden.

Pro + 1500 + 300 is probably the most versatile set up, one of my favorite combos!
What battery are you running and how much ride time are you getting on average?
Great video! Thank you!

Thanks for awesome info! What are your thoughts on the new wings: the MN 1300 and the Wave 1000 and 850, especially with an Ultra L2.
Haven't had the opportunity to test them yet still waiting for my wave edition efoil.
Awesome info as always! Can’t wait to try some of these combos.
