    This man NEVER feels the steel balls

      It's because I'm terrible with them haha. I've been using them a bit more lately. Maybe they'll make an appearance one day. I'll probably embarrass myself with their placement. 🤣

      @@WhoopedGG Try the WWWB mix. chaff (always, tank until worm), wasps (damage, likely tech range), wraiths (chaff clear, tank for wasps, debuff, never tech range), worms (tank, tech sandstorm debuff), balls (medium and giant dps, more chaff when die).
      As your chaff dies you want your worm to pop up. The balls are next and will spawn more chaff along with your late arriving chaff. The wraith is your other midline tanking damage and clearing their chaff and medium units. Leveled wasps with range form your backline and dps unit.
      The balls are a key addition to WWW as they provide giant unit killer capability and more chaff fulfilling two purposes.

    That acid did so much work.

      Scorpion with Acid + Range has to be my favorite combo in the game. I keep calling it poison but I mean acid lol. Add it to the list: chafe (chaff), Sandstorms (Sandworms), Poison (Acid).. and I'm sure there is more and will be more.

    Nice match. I’m still hoping you’ll give us the whole match without editing out parts of it. I would be happy to see more of your matches, even the bad ones that you lose.

    A few points of advice (1500 - 1600):
    If your opponent doesn't build something to counter crawlers, clicking replicate is a free win until he does. So if you see a situation like that always click replicate to force a response and have a huge tempo swing.
    To avoid missiles leave 2 spaces between your units on the front line.
    Generally Sledges hard counter Stangs and are decent at clearing crawlers, even better with mech rage. They can be really strong on turn 2 or 3, but it's ok to wait until the first unit drop to make sure you don't run them into scorpions the round after. Especially in this case as you didn't start with any chaff.
    Biggest mistake in my opinion was going double elite recruit Stangs on turn 3 as they don't really counter anything you opponent has. I would have gone 3 crawlers + replicate. Since you know the unit drop is coming next round is good to add chaff and be flexible for what the drop might bring.

    • @WhoopedGG
      @WhoopedGG  Місяць тому

      Usually, Replicate is something I look to do. I completely missed it here. You're 100% right. I needed to tech into that and force him to respond. That would have made an otherwise tough game probably swing massively in my favor.
      I threw down the Mustangs because I wanted to get them levels early. That being said, I didn't even think about waiting to see what the unit drop would bring and it absolutely makes more sense to build out the board and commit to a plan after that drop. More chaff + Replicate would have helped me a lot more.
      Thank you for your insight, Leon. I'll be sure to keep that in mind.

    Round 6 (7:24) you choose the Sabretooth just to sell it and get less squads and less levelled Fangs? You could have dropped 7 units of chaff on that round. 4 of them being level 3 out of the gate. Might have been a better counter to the enemy Marksmen. Let your Scorpions do more work without being targeted for a little longer

    • @WhoopedGG
      @WhoopedGG  Місяць тому +2

      😆 Honestly, I didn't even see Fangs as an option; I didn't even notice it said four squads of level three. I just glazed over it. Dang it lol. I could have dropped eight squads of Fangs (I had +1 deployments) with shields in one round. I wish I would have seen that. My goodness. That would have been hilarious.

    Mood on the steel balls. Rarely take them myself.
    Shocked you didn't go sledgies to counter his mustangs. Sledge beats stang every time.

    Believe it or not, storm callers soft lock mustangs. Mustangs can only shoot one target at a time and will always go after missiles first. A couple of storm callers with launcher overload will prevent the mustangs from doing anything but shoot missiles.

      My friend and I were playing a 2v2 the other day and he had four-tech Callers. Overload is so fun. It's just so satisfying to watch, haha.

    Hey Whooped! How come you always open the "betting window" to check the enemys selection? You could always just hover over the icon in the top right corner to see his picked attributes :) Cheers!

      That is very true. I should use it more. It doesn't show items when you hover, though, whereas the betting window one does. So I've just gotten in the habit of doing it the long way every time, lol.
