Interesting video on the PTC, didn't know they were used small refrigerator electric compressor motors, but as you explained it makes since. On larger motors they use a centrifugal switch to turn off the starting winding after starting up.
Thanks Jim. Yeah I thought after showing CL-series thermistors it would be interesting to compare it to a different type showing the different ways the principle can be used with opposite characteristics. Thanks again.
