I went to school with Jared. Let me just say he's one of the nicest ones around. I'll never forget the teachers giving him grief because he used to skip school to participate in surf comps and would rather go surfing than finish his homework.

just bought a brand new board and didn't wax it at all just to see what would happen... the stomach part was the most tricky part because almost made me fell off a couple times... had to make a lot more pressure on the hand grip too... soooo wax really helps lol nice tips from Jared I'll do a similar wax job in my next session.. thanks for the vid

@@djtanikgotbeatz hey ! first session didnt use any. then I went a little bit like he does on the video, i put a lot for the hands and elbows. and 3,4 lines on the stomach. it went a lot better! I´m a begginer so I bought a board a lil longer for my height and my fins suck so I actually put a lil wax on the chest area 3,4 lines and sometimes I paddle like I'm on a surfboard :D I think it would be cool if you start just with a bit wax and then see the areas you need more grip to feel more confortable. If I'm not mistaken You can clean off excessive wax too. have fun my man !
@@BonesofGoldSkateboarding Bro I have the same issue with my new board, slipping on the stomach area when I paddle out so I reckon I will also try the 3 or 4 lines of wax on the stomach area and if still slipping I'll do the same with the chest. Ha ha, being an ex surfer I also paddle like I'm on a surfboard.
Yeeah I'll not loose my board on a manouver anymore! I am saying this because every time I try do an ARS i loose my board on impact, or can not complete the spin. Manny could make a video about making an ARS? Thaaannnksss great vid!

Braddah Jay probably way too late to answering but you can. Right after I bought my new board, I put wax on it. Idk why.

for extra speed put wax on your slick
I rinse and wipe the deck with a cloth to remove the factory slippiness before waxing

Like where my stomach is it’s waaaay to slippery I keep on slipping off from not having any grip what’s so ever once I let go and use my hands to paddle to catch the wave I start slipping off snd I’m fully on top of the Board too

Yea fully, when paddling with your arms you have zero traction, I put a bit more on, you can still move about once up and riding, unless you're as weak as a flat Can of Coors Light

Boiling water should do fine, it will melt off the wax

I saw some one use a hair dryer to melt it then scrape it off with a was comb
leave it in the sun for just a few minutes then use and old credit card to scrape it off
