Great job. I'm getting ready for the CompTia Security+ exam right now. It's a big help to see and follow the target of the focus during problem-solving. Thanks
Studying for 701 right now and I really appreciate you took the time to organize all these training materials and make the playlists available. Thanks again
I passed my Security+ 601 last week. I just want to say thank you so much. Your videos were very helpful!!! Good Job!!!!! And to those who didn't take it. wish you the best YOU CAN DO IT TOO!!!
Watching these videos and pausing to work through the questions before you go into your explanations. I've realized that even on concepts that I'm not SUPER familiar with, like nmaps, my instincts are getting better because I've been able to work through what I believe the letters and formats would equate to and essentially guess correctly. Obviously I want to get to the point where I'm not guessing. But I'm getting more confident with the fact that I feel like this means I'm getting closer to truly feeling ready for this. Thank you for these great resources.
I love when I can answer some of these with basic break down and working knowledge of networking. I have never used nmap before, but I do know most syntax you start with the command followed by the destination IP. Narrows that question down to 3 answers right away. As for the ports, sorry you just have to commit those to memory, no way around that. Thank you Cyberkraft for being such a great resource.
Are there a lot of technical questions that ask for specific ports and commands on the 701 exam? Most other resources I have seen make no mention of this kind of question and I want to make sure I am prepared.
This might come too late, but according to Professor Messer, for the 701 exam you do not need to memorize specific port numbers/protocols apart from the few most well known ones (FTP, SSH, plus a few more). I also do not believe that you need to be able to do an NMAP scan and know the syntax/commands by heart as this is not listed in the exam objectives. He suggests to stick to the listed exam objectives. He even said that you do not have to learn the acronyms that are not mentioned in the objectives, but only featured in the acronym list at the end of the exam objectives document...Obviously everything in Cyberkraft's PBQs is needed and useful and eventually you need to know, but not for the 701. Please correct me if I am wrong...
Amazing video! please keep it up with the PBQ, they are amazing especially by you because you explain why you answered this and not that option, great content
are these videos in the 701 pbq playlist the only ones that are likely to appear for this exam or are these adding to the pool along with the 601 pbqs?
Does DNS run on UDP port 53? I would say the answer is incorrect on that. Also is not indicated in the written answer. PLease can you clarify? Thank you
