No real hate, just an astute observation, and that's not to say his music isn't listenable or known. I enjoy his features and some songs of his. BUT Kdot and Cole are both more influential. No Role Modelz & DAMN. are both known in rap & hip-hop communities as some of the best albums to be released in our time today. Both of them have a notable and extensive discography. And I don't mean in terms of streams or sales, but down to the artistry of these rappers. Lyrics for lyrics, bar for bar, entendre for entendre. If we were to go for a popularity contest, Kendrick has the most Grammy's, but let someone start Wet Dreamz with no music playing, the song is like encoded in DNA. We can debate all day, but it's honestly not worth the time. They're very different rappers, but one has managed to be one of the biggest in the world while being unique as hell and challenging himself creatively album....after album. To be that big and that unique in this climate says a lot. Obviously, there's a lot more to say, but I think that's a pretty good indicator of how special Kendrick is.
