Really nice, clear and informative video. I'm new to the game and trying to absorb everything I can find so your tutorials are really excellent for me. Thanks 👍

Hey man, I just got ootp for the first time, and I'm really finding your channel useful and enjoyable. Quck question, can a player surpass the potential the scout gives him, and if so by how much? Also does it happen often?

Do you mean if a player has 35 potential, can his potential ever go over 35? Yes, absolutely. And also remember 35 is just your scout’s opinion. The player may actually be better than that.

Love the tutorial series! I've looked on the OOTP Reddit and Forum for information about contract negotiations, but can't seem to find anything. Do you have any links I may be able to use so I can read up?

Hey Peter, not sure of any resources if there aren’t any there. Let me know if there are any specific questions and I can try to answer.

Oops, that exciting negotiation dropped dead. Hoped you had a little more struggle with him and showing off your skill to get him under contract. Stil I learned a new angle in bumping up 1-2 years that looked to have an effect on this bloke. Or ? We will never know.

I got him under contract for a price I wanted so I consider it successful.

Henderson’s range isnt good enough for short

It’s not elite, and it’s definitely lower than the typical SS I try to build around, but it’s certainly good enough. He’s consistently positive in ZR season after season and puts up 2-3 WAR per season. In the end, his WAR puts him in the top third of SS, year after year, so as a total package he’s certainly good enough.

@@pfholden maybe, but I’d still prefer a guy with at least 70 in each infield rating

Oh yeah, I agree that’s definitely ideal.
