I did find them either the person wanted alot of funds or it needed too much work, I have a 1961 fury now and is under restoration and this is my 2nd 1 my 1st '61 was destroyed in a garage fire a year ago January 25th
Yes the black 1 did get alot of attention, A relative burned trash the day before and that started a grass fire then a garage fire.I discovered the grass fire my dad and I went out to put the fire out and thought it was completely out. A couple of hours later there was a loud explosion in the garage smoke then flames. I was in tears when my car burned . When the relative came home she said "You are upset about your car". I almost screamed at her "If you did not decide to burn papers with dry grass around none of this would of happen , This is your fault this happened and your carelessness." I will not mention which relative. I was the female George Jefferson that day if you get my drift so if you heard some hollering and screaming on January 25th 2014 that was me I will say this not too smart burning trash with dry grass and close to a building. There was a friend of mines husband told me I should of made this person pay for the car.
I have Plymouth Furys, from the original Fury, to the Fury 1, 2, 3, and the Grand Fury. All of those I have were originally owned and operated by the Kansas Highway Patrol, except the Grand Fury, which was an Oklahoma Highway Patrol car. Strange thing, though, as I remember the movie "Christine", the car was called a Chrysler, not a Plymouth. Zlso, is was slightly wider, and longer than the Plymouth Furys. And when comparing front grill work, from the cars in the movie, to what I have, those movie cars were definately Chryslers. I have a Chrysler Model Year book, for every Chrysler, Plymouth Dodge vehicle made singe 1950.
If you want christine in a four door version get the plymouth Belvedere 1958 and spray to the red n white roof top i had a friend did this n it looks gorgeous
christine is a very nice car do not under estimate her she is a classic seen a 4 door at 1 time had tree in engine area ! u go christine great movie me loved it just waiting 4 part 2 the revenge
The actual Christine is a 4 door in the book if memory serves. I didn't know this came with a 360. I though that the highest option was the 350 Golden Commando 🤔

Love the 58 Fury. My favorite 50's car other than a 56 Chrysler 300-B or a 56 Dodge Custom Royal D-500. The late 50s Mopars are some of the most beautiful cars ever to roll off an assembly line. The 57-58 DeSoto Adventurer was a really beautiful car as well. The owner made a mistake. The 58 Fury came with either a 290 horsepower dual quad 318 or a 305 horsepower dual quad 350. I think I heard him say 360
Hi, Lou! yeah, I have a passion for old beautiful cars and I have a old ford ranger. She's 18 and I can never part with her. Almost an antique. Believe it or not, she's red, too. I've had many people offering to buy her from me, can't do it. ♥♥♥♥

I think that the Plymouth "Christine" had a 350 Golden Commando V8 engine. Plymouth had a 350 V8 in 1958. This was considered to be "a big V8" then. Chevrolet didn't have a 350 V8 until 1967. This engine premiered on some of the first Chevy Camaros.

Something about this Volo Christine always gave me doubts about its authenticity. The are two screen used Christine's well documented and known to exist. Martin Sanchez in Ca. owns the Moochie chase car and Bill Gibson in Fla. owns the other. A third documented car was auctioned at Barrett Jackson, and it was owned by the studio and used in promos. This Volo car was originally listed for sale years ago by Volo. They were asking in the $120,000 range. However, at that time I clearly remember ( and pictures are still on Volos site) the car having '57 fender spears, and no bumper wings. I have heard the Volo people admit the car was originally a 1957 Savoy. They claim Belvedere sporttone was added and it was one of the many cars the production had in inventory for filming. But obviously with the '57 features, it never had any screen time. So basically anyone could create a Christine clone, and it would have just as much provenance as this Volo car. I think Volo realized it was never going to sell at their asking price, so they invested in the parts needed to complete the '58 conversion and decided to put it on display in the museum section. Now that it has had screen time in Hulu's 11/22/63 production, Stephen Kings ink ran signature on dash, and supposed ties to the Christine film, I suppose it's a big step above a clone. But I wouldn't spend over $100,000 on her that's for sure.

The windshield wipers running reminds me of the drive in movie scene. It was a torrential rain and they had to run the wipers to see the movie. The port wiper stopped, with only the starboard wiper still functioning. Arnie got out to monkey with it, that's when Leigh almost choked on the hamburger. Leigh managed to get Christine's starboard door unlocked, and that's when the man in the adjacent car pulled Leigh out and did the himlic maneuver. Arnie first thought the man was attacking Leigh.
Lou - can a car like this 58 be modernized and customized , change features like alter front sections and redesign part/s of the rear etc ,--if so ,would U say it would cost an arm and a leg so to speak to have it done to order ,-- thanks for ur answer ,/advice

The 1958 Plymouth was a very unpopular car and described to be of poor quality compared to its competition. The movie Christine made this car so popular that now every tom dick n harry is digging them out there graves and restoring them. Yes they did destroy 21 in the making of the movie but thanks to the movie, the Plymouth fury 58 will live forever.... unlike some other classics

WHY THE 1960 PLYMOUTH FURY WAS SUPERIOR. It was designed by men who had survived the horrors of WW2. They were Patriots, were happy to be alive, at home, and in their prime years, they were strong and dependable. They believed in a bright future for their nation, their peoples and their families. These men were the sole income earners for their families and the unquestioned heads of their family, for the Baby-Boomer's in North America this was the traditional family that we all knew. Cars like the 1960 Plymouth Fury ooze with attitude, it's happy, carefree and wild. As well as a strong, dependable, functional car, like the men that built them. They built cars for themselves and their families. This vehicle is visually stunning and celebrates life and is a sexy car! It was the 1958 Plymouth Fury that portrayed “Christine”, as the sexy demon possessed car of Stephen King's movie “Christine”. You couldn't remake this movie with a 2020 Toyota Corolla, it just wouldn't work. images.app.goo.gl/6vQTZTQ9mUFMAga87 Todays cars have a disease that I call “Design Dysphoria”, they have no attitude, don't exude sex at all, are androgynous gender neutral cars, like good Nazi's cars they are built to comply with every federal, and state mandated requirement. images.app.goo.gl/ji1hvfuuSk5VRJGs9 To manufacture cars today they all have to comply with government regulations regarding climate protection, this also degrades there design. Climate Change science is not established science, but this subject for another comment and another day. Both Men and Women are necessary for humanity to exist, we are equals spiritually and intellectually. But the Woman has been subjugated to the man since almost the very beginning, she wasn't subjugated at the beginning, but when she chose to believed Satan's lie, “Ye shall be as gods”, there were consequence of that sin, death came into the world for the first time and God put Eve under Adam's authority, because she was deceived and Adam was not. And this was God's doing, not Adams.
Hi, I think the video blemish is due to a question UA-cam asks when you load a video which says, "Would you like to stabilize your video?" I hit yes, and have learned that I should not hit yes as it creates a wave like effect in the video. Apologize for the inconvenience, and on my newer videos you should not experience that issue. Lou
@@loucostabile I get lots of Plymouth videos recommended to me on here now lol. Both lovely shiny ones like this and junkyard ones which are sad to see. It would be amazing to get one restored and own it but I live in the UK and there are probably only about 10 imported ones in the whole country.
Its a Beldevere not a Fury. Fury in the book. Beldevere in the film as the Fury is ugly compared to the Beldervere. Hence why people think its a Fury. Fury just sounded good in the book.
I honestly do not think that's a "Survivor" from the Movie. Interior is all wrong first of all. Secondly, the Tint on the Windshield is just as dark as the Tint everywhere else. Most importantly, there are only 4 confirmed Survivors and all are owned by Private Owners. Who owns this one. Just sayin'

I did find them either the person wanted alot of funds or it needed too much work, I have a 1961 fury now and is under restoration and this is my 2nd 1 my 1st '61 was destroyed in a garage fire a year ago January 25th
Steph Burlew The 61 Fury must get a lot of attention and a joy to drive.
Lou
Steph Burlew Ouch, that's a sad story on the Black One.
Yes, sir, I've enjoyed caring for her for 19 years . She's like one of the family. :)
That's awesome :-)
Hi DerangedDragon99,
Thanks for viewing and sharing your knowledge of this car,
Lou
DerangedDragon99 well a movie was made 2 entertainment 2 watch 4 every 1 i enjoyed it !!!!

Clearly a fan of the Car. Thank you for viewing and sharing, Lou
Beautifulness
:-)
The actual Christine is a 4 door in the book if memory serves. I didn't know this came with a 360. I though that the highest option was the 350 Golden Commando 🤔
Didn't know about the 4 Door. Thank you for viewing and sharing.
I love Christine I love to drive in Christine I seen her film 6 times I am dreaming about driving Christine
Hi Laura Jones, Happy to read you enjoy this car & video. Hope you're behind the wheel driving a Christine soon, Lou
@@loucostabile yes Christine is bad to the bone
@@loucostabile I love to see Christine in real life if she loves me I am still dreaming to drive her I got some pictures of Christine on my wall if she is with me I got Christine on my GTA V I drive her all the time
Love the 58 Fury.
Hi Jeremy, High praise for this car :-) Think you're going to like the car coming up Saturday, stay tuned, Lou
Hi, Lou! yeah, I have a passion for old beautiful cars and I have a old ford ranger. She's 18 and I can never part with her. Almost an antique. Believe it or not, she's red, too. I've had many people offering to buy her from me, can't do it. ♥♥♥♥
Hi Soldier of Freedom, If you're asking my opinion (which I don't believe you are) unless you really need the cash for the right reasons...do not sell your car. Also, if you're passionate about old beautiful cars, you've on the right Channel, because I have a passion for those cars too, Lou
I wouldn't dream of selling my old truck, we've been together for 17 yrs. What she needs, she gets....you know, today, the cars and trucks just don't have the personality of the ones back then.
Cool

I think that the Plymouth "Christine" had a 350 Golden Commando V8 engine. Plymouth had a 350 V8 in 1958. This was considered to be "a big V8" then. Chevrolet didn't have a 350 V8 until 1967. This engine premiered on some of the first Chevy Camaros.

Hi a question this plymouth is for sale because I saw a while ago that they were selling greetings
Hi Nicole,
The Volo Auto Museum does sell cars also. so that could have been possible. See www.volocars.com.
Take care,
Lou
Nicole Bustamante try that very popular auctions u hear everywhere

HI Jacky Claiborne, Thank you for viewing, sharing, and adding to the story, Lou
A spooky car, but I love Christine!
Hi Soldier Of Freedon, Glad you love this one :-) Hopefully you'll find many cars on the Channel that are not spookiy at all, Lou
I've not read the book but I am given to understand that the car described therein was a Belvedere, not a Fury.
Hi Ed, Thank you for viewing & sharing your knowledge, Lou
Hey look Christine is waving hi Christine👋
Nice :-)
love the car. Its should of been a 392 hemi.
That's a good idea.
Lou - can a car like this 58 be modernized and customized , change features like alter front sections and redesign part/s of the rear etc ,--if so ,would U say it would cost an arm and a leg so to speak to have it done to order ,-- thanks for ur answer ,/advice
Hi Raymond Chadman, I'm not a "Car Builder" however I meet many who've done some amazing work. In IL there is shop Jeff Schwartz has called Schwartz Performance who'd have the "cost" question answered for you based on how far you want to take it. www.schwartzperformance.com & in AZ Tony Arme has a shop called American Legends www.alhotrods.com or call 1-623-213-7288. Yes, easily one of my favorite (semi) scary movies of all time; you must watch it, its that good!
Renzee White you need to see it
Good movie. You should definitely watch it. Read the book while you're at it too. The movie is better than thr book in my opinion.
It's been verified that there was 23 Cars used in the movie Christine and 21 of them were wrecked during filming
+Lance “BlueMule74” Cormier Hi Lance, Thanks for sharing your knowledge. Take care, Lou
which is sickening, wasteful and awful.
+67marlins I mean destroying anything antique, artistic , historic or sentimental.
Lance Cormier ?
Always thought the '57 and '58 Chryslers and Plymouths were the best looking cars for those years. Subjective opinion, of course.

I WANT ONE!!no seriously, I really do, except my town in England it would probably be smashed to bits.well, if I ever get into some money, I'm gonna move out of this town, go to a village or something and buy one of these. and most likely a 1964 Triumph Herald 1200 in a two tone red and white too...

A bad English disease like brexit. What town are you in. Hopefully you will get your wishes. The Herald should be attainable. The Fury...? Good luck.

You couldn't remake this movie with a 2020 Toyota Corolla, it just wouldn't work.
images.app.goo.gl/6vQTZTQ9mUFMAga87
Todays cars have a disease that I call “Design Dysphoria”, they have no attitude, don't exude sex at all, are androgynous gender neutral cars, like good Nazi's cars they are built to comply with every federal, and state mandated requirement.
images.app.goo.gl/ji1hvfuuSk5VRJGs9
To manufacture cars today they all have to comply with government regulations regarding climate protection, this also degrades there design.
Hi Marten Trudeau, Thank you for viewing and sharing, Lou
White part of the passenger side on rear outside of tail fin has a small blemish or dent in the video -- a shame!
Lou
We'll be together soon Christine

I honestly do not think that's a "Survivor" from the Movie. Interior is all wrong first of all. Secondly, the Tint on the Windshield is just as dark as the Tint everywhere else. Most importantly, there are only 4 confirmed Survivors and all are owned by Private Owners. Who owns this one.
