Love the video, here is my unsolicited feedback (you said you like it on Self Made). When you are talking to the camera, the depth of field seems too shallow, it looks odd, like you are on a green screen. I like the more casual nature of the voice over, you seem so jovial on the podcast, and that came through more in this video. Saying "why" you wanted the sawhorses made out of wood instead of metal would help add to the story. Keep up the good work, it is no small task doing all the camera work yourself, and you did a great job.
I had a long monologue about Krenov and the origins of these in Japan actually but it was going way into the weeds and I thought that it might be off putting for people just want to get it to a beginner woodworking project. He definitely is the god father of modern woodworking.
This is great, thank you! As someone who has a band saw instead of a table saw, how would you go about doing the tenons? With a sled, or just by hand/eye?
I’ve had enough of this! I’ll be that guy who raises an angry, obnoxious technicality. Pooping your pants is better in shorts. Gravity takes care of the majority of the removal. You’re welcome, America.
@@CoffeyCustomBuilds The pay isn’t great, but I’m doing important work. (I mean, I gotta add *some* variety to my standard your-work-and-shop-are-so-rad comments that I put on literally every video of yours that I watch.)
I'm so happy you didn't 💩 your pants in this video.
Not on camera
pooping your pants in shorts is the worst. glad you decided not to do that
I cgi'd it out of the video.

Thanks for the feedback
Great build and great video...BUT...You did not mention Krenov once. That guy could have used a shout out.

Mortise and tenon go together like peas and carrots, or, um, never mind. I enjoy your editing and narration. Cheers.
Haha!

I use magnetic stops. I remove the bulk of the material and clean up with chiseld and planes.

You sir, are so brave. And I for one applaud you.

Plugs have short grain, while dowels have long grain strength. Dowels have more strength for a draw bore situation, and they wouldn’t snap.
Yup
Ironically watching this while I’m taking a dump.
I'm replying while doing the same!
Cool project...good tutorial. Thanks for posting.
Thanks for watching!
It's easier to do all the mortise and the tenons with a pantorouter just sayin 😂
Oh so much easier lol I made another set this weekend in like an hour.
Nice job. Love the video and love the design of the sawhorse.
Thanks dude!
Very nice~! I picked up a pair of plastic horses a while back at Harbor Freight, but I'll be replacing them with a pair of these. Love the video~!
You'll love making these
You’ve made a strong case for shop diapers.
Go check my store
Can I please ask what type of plug cutter bit you are using?
You bet. The set I have is currently out of stock but here's an equitable set: amzn.to/4coE4Y4
@@CoffeyCustomBuilds thanks very much! Great video as always.
@kenfloyd430 appreciate that man
Beautiful saw horses! I really appreciate the knowledge that you share.
Thanks man! Appreciate you!
Not gonna lie, that round over bit on the tenons felt kinda sketchy. Think I’ll stick with just chiseling that off. 😉
Yeah man get it done however you feel the most safe but roundover bit are made to round over wood and it's perfectly safe.
Great project! Well done……
Thanks for watching!

Pinch it off
Great job!! Much better than the metal once

Nobody got time to poop their pants

For the shop or the museum “
It's covered in wood right now!
