The courts are not so trigger-happy to grant full custody to the mother just because she carried the child anymore. If she's not careful she could be the parent visiting on the weekends. I hope for the child's sake they're able to put the differences aside and co-parent this child amicably.

UPDATE: A lot changed. He left her almost immediately. He did not stay in her life. He was embarrassed by the whole thing. The bio dad has been 100 percent involved in her life and got joint custody.

The day of my wedding he dropped me and my son back off at home right after we got married, I didn't see him again for 3 days. He slept with a drug dealer the night of my wedding. It was 2 weeks after we got married that I slept with my 'husband', for the first time since marriage. After he was busted his excuse was "I'm a Christian man! The saddest part is this guy has YEARS of court battles in front of him and that will only happen if the mother doesn’t disappear with his baby girl. A friend of mine has been fighting to see his son for eight years and has yet to really have visitation despite court orders. It is truly sad. The mother is a vengeful witch and it’s the child that pays the price.

For anyone who might see this comment four years after it was posted, Mr. Butterfield now has full custody of his child. He tried getting joint custody and she fled so he couldn't have any time at all. The courts later granted him full custody and she apparently doesn't even see the kid anymore. She's too busy being a sociopath elsewhere.

The saddest part is this guy has YEARS of court battles in front of him and that will only happen if the mother doesn’t disappear with his baby girl. A friend of mine has been fighting to see his son for eight years and has yet to really have visitation despite court orders. It is truly sad. The mother is a vengeful witch and it’s the child that pays the price.

Just watched this episode. Very happy Jesse is the father. He actually commented on this a few weeks ago. He has full custody but sounds like it was a long and interesting process. For anyone who might see this comment four years after it was posted, Mr. Butterfield now has full custody of his child. He tried getting joint custody and she fled so he couldn't have any time at all. The courts later granted him full custody and she apparently doesn't even see the kid anymore. She's too busy being a sociopath elsewhere.
He was able to get full custody after CPS removed his daughter and the other three from her. I suspect she does not see the others either.
