Sang by Gospel singer and pianist Ray Hart and he brought this great old hymn written by Dr Charles Gabriel to light. Dr Hart was the song leader and director of music for Dr John R Rice and later for Dr Bob Jones. He served as Head of the Music Department at Bob Jones University from 1954 until his passing in 1992.
This church here seems like a really nice church here. I don't know where Y'all are, but I go to an independent fundamental Baptist church here in radford va. It's a wonderful wonderful church.
Where is the regular song director? I sure hope he is still on staff. He is a great song leader. Has a true talent to get the congregation to sing enthusiastically. I love all these hymns and I know just about all of them and can sing the words without using the hymnbook--at least for the first verse. I am very blessed by this church's hymn singing. The words and beautiful melodies of church hymns cannot be beat by the current "Praise & Worship" songs (in my opinion). Thank you Daniel Baptist for putting these congregational hymns on UA-cam. I hope to see Bro. Aaron back soon.
Abigail Bush yes, he’s still on staff. During this whole covid thing, the congregation in the auditorium has been smaller and no choir. They’ve also sung hymns that I’ve already posted. So that’s why I haven’t uploaded much. Hopefully soon there’ll be choir and a full auditorium.
@Daniel Baptist Love these congregational singing as well. I am pretty familiar with this church used to go there before attending Stedfast OKC. Another great song ministry is the church I grew up in, you should check them out! Their channel is Bible Baptist Church on youtube and this is their website www.stillwaterbbc.org/
@@danielbaptist1611 They need to have choir and everything again as normal. An Independent Baptist Church does not have to follow what mainstream Baptist organizations like the Southern Baptist Convention church follow. They do have have to abide by the CDC and OKDPH guidelines. Why should an Independent Baptist Church obey the government? Romans 13?
ILoveStorms Pastor Jason Gaddis has decided to take certain precautions for his church. He himself has had the virus, as other of his church members. Maybe once the cases go down they’ll have the choir back up.🤷♂️
My favourite hymn since I was 12 years old has a lot of meaning for me I am now coming up to be 82 years old

Thank you for this! It ministered to my soul. I feel weak and afraid. But God lifts me up!
Such mercy that he would save an idiot like myself who does not deserve any mercy or grace from God but he still forgave me of all my sin
Great song. Very inspiring and uplifting. Thank you God.

So I see y'all are a Baptist church, which is great, but what kind of Baptist are y'all?
Jesus Died For You this is an Independent, Fundamental, King James only, soul winning Baptist church.
@@danielbaptist1611 amen! That's great! So are we, King James only, gospel hymn only, soul winning, gospel preaching church as well.
Don't tell me that they're not using hymnals anymore.
ILoveStorms Yes, they still use hymnals. The lyrics on the screen are for the livestream.

I love hymns. However, this one's tune is not very friendly.
