Most of the member were in survival show called LOUD it was survival show withe jyp and p nation to create two new boy groups in 2021... after the show aired P nation did debuted his group TNX/The new six but jyp however did not (I don't think there was a exact reason for it I never noticed if they released something about it or not but many people think that it was because of the young trainees because the youngest was only 14 which I'm kinda glad they didn't debut so young however the oldest in the team is just 20 y.o. now but he did trained for almost 10 years which is CRAZY considering the fact he was in JYP even before som skz members and he even joked with Changbin that he should call he senior haha) one of the member that were supposed to debut from the show already left while waiting for the debut but he still create music if I'm not wrong. This pre-release is actually so fun I love it haha can't wait for their official debut!!
Not gonna lie, one of the first thoughts I had when I watched this was that I wondered what you'd think of it lol I was worried initially about overlap with NEXZ but they've got different skillsets and a very different sound so I'm happy to have one more JYP group to watch. Excited to see the actual title
They are singing korean "Eung Geurae" not "Umm Great" btw... Umm Great is just a word play English title. The title track, as well as the rest of songs (6 tracks total) got leaked (i mean the titles and song credits) The title track is called Mama Said (co-written by KickFlip Amaru) other members had written other b-side as well. But Amaru have 3 credited songs in their debut mini album. The hand choreography is actually the 응 (Eung) from the title.
So vibey! I can’t wait to see what else they come out with. I’ve seen some comments saying they might be into production too, so very curious. I’d love to know if there’s a predebut show I can watch to get to know them better. Anybody know?
