I have to peel those discount stickers off of anything I buy because my husband will turn his nose up at it if I don't. Little does he know that 75% of the stuff I buy had the sticker... heehee.
My husband is the same way. Like it automatically makes it less tasty. 😂 he normally won’t eat leftovers either which drives me crazy. He’s coming around to it though.
My husband sends me a message every time after I've gone shopping, seeing the charge on our joint card, and can tell if I found Many Many Deals by how big I spent to ask so I can be excited about my finds at him!
Make sure you ask for a rain check on the peach and nectarine sale. I work at qfc(Kroger store) and if we are out of stock on a sale item, a customer can request a rain check to buy the item at that price at a later date. It's good for 30 days
We are empty nesters and I still go full force when I see clearance stickers. I can always share what I find! A local farm sells 20lb bags of onions for $3. Last week he had a few bags that were starting to sprout so he listed them at $3 for 2 bags. Yes, I now have 40lbs of onions!
Frozen onions thaw wet and squishy. But are great in soups and stews, sauces and sautéed with ground meats. I can caramelize them and add to any dish that uses cooked onions.
Nice finds! Growing up, my Mother taught me the magic that is the rain check. Are they out of the deal of the week item? Are they out of something you don't need now, but might want later and the price is great? RAIN CHECK! For those not familiar with getting one, all you do is go to customer service and ask for a rain check for the advertised sale items that are sold out. It's nice if you bring an ad, just to make things easier. Sometimes the cashier can give you one. The store will ask how many you want of the sold item (example - 5 lbs of peaches, please) and they will give you a rain check coupon to buy them when they come back in stock. The best part is the coupon is usually good for a month. If in a month the price of peaches have gone up, you still have your .99/lb deal!
My Fry's never has that many reduced stickers .... I would stock up too if I saw those. And I like how you said I don't need those right now and left things. You didn't clear shelves just because you found good deals. 😁
I’m so proud of myself. I watched one of your videos the other day, and I wanted some onions. I just happened upon some reduced priced onions, and I am so excited that now I’m starting to see them. Thank you so much for giving me the idea to look for these all through the store. Have a great day.
Im a vegetarian and the quorn products are amazing. I put the quorn pieces in stir frys. i use a mixture of quorn mince and ground pecans to make a lasagna and the snitzels are amazing cooked in the air fryer diced, then put through a salad. They're a fantastic vegetarian option.
And just for price differences, I live in perth western australia and at my local woolworths ( grocery shop ) for 280g box of those quorn nuggets its $7!

I live in NJ the closest I can even get to deals like this is Aldi or Lidl. I wish we had a supermarket that would put its stuff on clearance with the deals like you get!
Same situation here in Florida. And we have only Aldi, no Lidl here. Last time I was at Lidl in Germany and I was so happy to see items on clearance :-) I am always impressed with the items Christine gets on clearance! We plan ur menu, I do grocery shopping videos to show people how we budget and save money, but even I will try a lot I still will never get so many items with a discount.

We do pay a bit more at times, but as you come closer to the empty nest, please consider helping locally owned producers make a living. Also, support companies using reduce, reuse, recycle methods as much as possible. Every bit helps. Think about long term health of the planet might be worth the money spent. Just hit up my local Lidl. They do 30% day before expiration and mark it $1.50 per package for meat and 50 cents for vegetables and refrigerated items the day of expiration. I got a boneless pork loin that I cut nine 1¼ inch chops from. 3 whole free range organic roasters, just under 5 lbs each. 5 half pound grass feed NY strips, a full rack of pork ribs and 4 pkgs of ground Beyond Beef. All $1.50 a pkg.
Love seeing people willing to try out the meatless options. Just an FYI for anyone wanting to try some, if you have a mushroom allergy you might have a reaction to the Quorn brand!

I went to Smith's this morning, and tried to find some good clearance deals. All I found was some canned biscuits for $0.20 each, and a closeout of some ice cream for $0.77 but I also had a $0.45 digital coupon. I want to go back in a few days as the eggs will be $0.97 for the 18 count in the new sale, and sugar really cheap. So hoping I can find some "Christine level" clearance deals too! LOL! P.S. your video had me laughing so hard at your daughter's high pitched super fast talking. Reminds me of my girls. LOL!

Christine, what days or times do you go to a smiths to score all those great deals? I'm in my local smiths (Las Vegas), and I can never find those reduced price stuff. What a great deal on those ground beef packages!!
I just ask people who are restocking/working in the area if they know what day/time the store usually does mark downs. Most of them are happy enough to answer, and I find it's usually a Thursday or a Monday marking down in preparation for the weekend shoppers or the leftovers/unpicked stuff from the weekend!
I have gotten so good at finding clearance items thanks to Christine. Last week I found dairy free chobani yogurt for 50% off, I only picked up 2 because that was all that was marked down. Then Saturday I went back and there were several dozen marked down incorrectly for $0.64 each, it was suppose to be 50% off and they normally cost $1.99. So I got 6 for $3.84. My local Stop and Shop started doing clearance items in the last year. They started having clearance produce in the last 6 or so months and originally everything would be marked down to $0.99 but I guess it's popular because last week all the clearance produce was $1.99.
In all my life (55years) I have NEVER seen those kind of deals in Canada. You are very fortunate.

What video did we see the freezer in? I don’t remember seeing it!
@@AshleyS009 I don’t remember what the title was. But I believe the photo with it was the freezer. It was a couple videos back. It was just a small little bit on the freezer.
You get lots of good deals on clerance. I try to shop like that too.
Yep, I try to get discount meat any chance I can get. It adds up.
I love these large grocery hauls especially if they are on clearance 🙏🏻🙏🏻😩😩
I have never seen discounted items at the grocery store
I shop and cook only what’s in special that week. My mom used to that I’m doing the same thing. Apple this week no blueberry ....next time 😂
I have never seen those pointed peppers in Canada!
I have never seen so much clearance!! Amazing haul!😯
Thank you! 🤗
Did you make a video of the new freezer
My walmart had 24 ounce containers of blueberries for $2. So I bought 5. hah! I tossed them all in the freezer after picking through them. So great!
My husband and I are road tripping with his family and we just crossed into Idaho! Made me think of you guys! 💗
When I eat Idaho potatoes I think about Christine and her family! She is so positive person and so inspirational. I even started recently my channel to also show our grocery hauls, meal prep and budgeting.
Can’t wait to see the recipes you make and your freezer prep,,,,I have only two,,,but still use your tips for freezer meal prep,,,,
Not sure if it is because I live in a high population area but my Kroger never has anything marked down
Christine, what days or times do you go to a smiths to score all those great deals? I'm in my local smiths (Las Vegas), and I can never find those reduced price stuff. What a great deal on those ground beef packages!!
I just ask people who are restocking/working in the area if they know what day/time the store usually does mark downs. Most of them are happy enough to answer, and I find it's usually a Thursday or a Monday marking down in preparation for the weekend shoppers or the leftovers/unpicked stuff from the weekend!
I live in Cameron Park. CA and we definitely don't have clearance deals like these! Can I ask what your food budge is?
Good to see Lauren!
I’ve never seen discount frozen items!
Chompies is delicious, pricey full price but yummy. They have some bakeries here in Arizona.
I'm jealous. It doesn't matter how early or when I go, my stores never have food like that marked down to those prices.
You should try the copy cat recipe from Olive Garden zuppa toscano. It uses the spicy sausage and kale. It’s to die for
Oh I love roasted pointed peppers! They’re so sweet
