But in GSC's defense, they went through several problems during the game's development, including a war, the loss of their office, moving, and they are focused on at least trying to bring a quality game. There is an optimization problem for A-Life to work properly, which would make it impossible for owners of more modest GPUs to use it. Anyway... I'm still giving credit. GSC and Valve still know what they're doing, it seems to me.

CDPR forced to release early because of the pressure from investors and GSC ran out of money because of decade long development. Even then those games are released at 90% ready with zero microtransaction. If you have a decent PC or PS5, cyberpunk is mostly bug free at launch. Shadow of Chernobyl was also broken at launch, Stalker 2 forced to cut back alife to optimize for Unreal 5.

Also, I personally enjoy the lack of transportation options as while you’re walking you’ll likely come across different locations to explore or you’ll walk into a fight between people and mutants (Though I will say sometimes enemies will just kinda spawn on you in the middle of nowhere).

There is a game called "Chernobylite" that also takes place in the zone. They also feature the so-called "Palace of Culture Energetik" exactly like in Stalker 2 and COD (something I was not aware of :) ). Same goes for the curved walkway to the hotel Polissya
That CoD 4 mission still gives me chills thinking about it. Legendary. Shame Activision is still "milking" the names of those masterpieces instead of making a new one.
I'm still exploring the game at my own pace, but I would love them toget the "GET OUT OF HERE, STALKER !". I hope I'll at one point jump and laugh at that.
The game doesn't really work with sniper rifles at all yet, because most of the enemies spawn at point-blank range and the bullet drop off is extreme even at said distances
I find a little funny the scaling difference between the cod mission and stalker 2 if you look closely the walk ways are smaller and the ceiling is lower in the cod mission so my brain makes me think the guys in stalker 2 are itty bitty.
Idk if its also in the OG GAMES or just gamma/anomaly But theres a chance other stalkers will mention two dead bodies next to the ferris wheel with SAS badges on them and act all confused as to who those two guys are I thought it was pretty cool

The difference in quality of graphics and gameplay, while COD has been around for years. Stalker 2 has so-so graphics but requires the latest graphics card
It's hard to compare the two. STALKER 2 is a massive open-world, CoD maps are small, hand-crafted, linear spaces. Far less demanding. Also, I'm quite sure this video was filmed on low settings.
technically cod came first considering this easter egg in stalker 2 a more recent gane release is nodding at a older game both the original release of COD 4 and the remaster were years ago, though the concept of COD stealing art is accurate as even BO6 has reportedly done so

They have been actually in Pripyat a lots of time as well as me, and could reproduce real environment using photogrammetry.

In Stalker Gamma, there's NPC dialogue in Pripyat about a STALKER spotting two dead people with ghillie suits. He goes on to ask "What does SAS mean?"

It's insane how MW holds up to current games even visually. The art direction and lighting was so well done.
Despite the common real world source causing it, it almost feels odd somehow to have multiple different franchises using the same locale.
