How is the corner wear? I noticed some corner wear on my PLG bags after using them couple of times
I was going to ask the same thing. I have a Portland leather goods mini tote and I just noticed the corners are showing wear. Wonder if GFG hold up better?

Hi..At this point I don't have any corner wear, I only have the bag a few months and do not carry it often. So far, there is no corner wear at all. There is a Go North Goods group on Facebook called Go Forth Goods Groupies. You might get better persona experiences from other members. So many choices and decisions to make..as you know in love the indigo ..and it is limited edition ..I own two large avery hemmed tote with both with d rings one that snaps the other that has the button closure ..i.just bought the mini cross body..and tonight after some long thought inpurchased the small hemmed with the 5 inch strap ..did not add the d rings that bag will fit inside the tote bag ..like my purse in a tote I will use for work..i.was debating long and hard as to whether or not I should get the d ring on it but finally decided not to..so many decisions to make on these bags...now all I have to get is the med size..and i.will have all sizes .i.need to get the med before that color is discontinued..all these bags easily spent over $1,000.. if i dont getbthe med ..i can still use the tote as a everyday bag as long as it is not loaded up..lol..they get heavy ..I still have the mini crossbody..now I am having second thoughts again..maybe I should add the drings on the small 🙄..

I love the look of the Bison Cherry. It is so unique. My one bag in Bison Cherry is a Mini. When I received my Avery Medium I carried it all the time. Hi Anna, Yes, the Medium is my favorite GFG piece. It is the perfect size and weight for me.The size of the Small is a little smaller than the Medium in both length and width. The size of the depth, however, makes the difference of what I can put inside the bag. I had to carry less than I carry in the Medium but that is why I bought the Small in the first place. There are days I don't want a bigger tote on my shoulder and days I want to run to a store and not carry everything I usually carry..That is when I will carry the Small. I hope this helps. This company apparently needs to be my next venture.

Hi Betty, My Medium is Mocha. I love it! It is actually a show stopper to people who know what real, good leather is. My hairdresser, who is a mountain man, went nuts when he saw my bag. Thank you, thank you, thank you for sharing your new bag an doing the comparison. Your videos kept me from making a couple purchases I know I would live to regret. I now have 2 of these bags on order. It is so difficult waiting for them…I am so excited and somehow I know I will love them…without any doubts. I ordered the Med. Avery Deluxe in Saddle with Mocha straps and a Mocha tassel. I also ordered the Med.Slim in Black with the Saddle straps and a saddle tassel. I have only one wish… I went more places so I could wear them every day. This was my year to clean out my bags and replenish my bag closet. I also purchased some new Dooney bags for when I want a more polished look. I am almost 70 years old. This has been the most excited I have been over something in a while. How do you feel about the long straps on the small. Looks silly that they hang almost down past the bag no?
Hi Heidi..The straps on this Small tote are thinner than the straps on the Medium tote and almost as long as the bag itself. It is very comfortable on my shoulder. But, as you mentioned, I am partial to straps proportionate to the bag. I think a 9 inch strap drop might have looked more proportionate but it would have eliminated a large section of the population. I am in favor of strap options but realize that is not economically feasible for most companies, especially those companies just starting out. I am not aware of a strap-length option on a tote bag from any retail tote handbag manufacturer unless the strap has a buckle. or multiple removable straps. I find this company makes a very good quality pom pom compared to the others I have purchased on Amazon. I am torn between the Avery Large Pocket Slim Medium and the Avery Large Pocket Small. I want to see more or less a size comparison. (I am going to customize them with the longer strap drop and add the D rings to make it crossbody.)

Great comparison Ilene!👍 All three bags are beautiful!😍 I'm more partial to the mini and the small totes, they're so cute!😃 I like that they use one piece of leather to sow the bag together, and the copper studs give them a nice rustic touch. I'm glad you found a bag that you're happy with, and get to enjoy using without having to worry about babying it. The bison leather has a really nice interesting texture too, I've notices. Hi Dear Friend...Thank you! I really love the Bison leather. It really is interesting. My Bison is not as stiff as others. I think that is because whoever made the bag left the hide a little lax. It is perfect. I like that the leather is in one piece too. I am very happy with the bags I have bought so far. The leather is outstanding. The quality is unmatched in my opinion. I do prefer the Medium tote. I noticed that the straps are not as wide on the Small Tote making it not as comfortable as the Medium Tote for me. Thank you so much for asking about izzi. I am into this vibe now. Not to say I am giving up other bags...not at all. Bu,t the purchases of Coach, etc, will be only on a "must have" basis. The regular items do not appeal to me anymore. Hi Nancy, Thank you! I love the GFG leather..there just isn't anything like it anywhere that I know about. Good idea to sell your designer bags. Yes, keep the Florentine and Rogues. That is what I am keeping too..I am also keeping the LV because my husband and children bought me the pieces I now have. I already sold the pieces I bought except for one piece, which I kept. I downsized when I was absent from UA-cam and dealing with retinal issues. I recently bought a new LV bag because my son, daughter in law and two grandsons gave me an LV gift card as my birthday gift last August for my 70th. I thought I bought something from them with that gift card months ago but it did not work for me. I finally found the bag that I wanted to get with their gift. It is on the way to me. I want to send them mod shots so they know and get to see what I bought. I won't be taking it with me this trip..the Vachetta is too new for travel. Thank you so much for watching. Thank you for making this video! It's so helpful to see the size comparisons. I'm currently waiting for my Small Avery tote in Saddle to arrive. I've had the Medium Avery in Rustic Pecan for over a year and used it for 6 months straight. The design just makes it so easy to use! The medium has been a bit too heavy for my neck and shoulders so I'm hoping the Small will be the perfect size for every day. By the way I love your purse charms! They look so cute on all your bags.
Hi Brittany, Thank you! The Rustic Pecan is such a gorgeous color. I hope Nathan brings that hide back. I carried my Small bag today. The straps are not as wide as the Medium. My neck is usually very sensitive to straps. I can't sit at the computer too long because my neck starts hurting after a short while. Carrying the Avery Small Tote on my shoulder did not bother my neck. Carrying the Medium did not bother my neck either. For me, I think the thin, straps such as brands like Coach use, does hurt my neck after carrying a bag crossbody. The GFG straps are much better for me personally. I hope it works out for you. They grow so fast.💕 The Small is a little smaller than the Medium in length and width. However, the real difference for me is the depth of the bag. I had to downsize my usual carry..which,m to me, is the purpose of buying a smaller bag to begin with. It is just right for carrying a few things..more than the Mini and less than the Medium. I think it is a good piece to have if you sometimes like to go lighter or don't need the carry everything you carry in the Medium. I agree with you, the leather texture is lovely. I ordered a handbag a few months ago from this company, had initials embossed in it and even tho I knew the measurements it’s just too small and the leather is very stiff. If I carry it the leather will relax and maybe when the weather cools and I feel I don’t need a tote, I’ll start using it.
Hi Sandi..A few of the types of hide are more stiff than others..depending on which animal it comes from. The Bison hides seem to be more stiff than the cow hides. I bought the Bison Cherry..It is the Mini bag in this video. My particular bag is not as stiff as some others who have purchased the same hide..but, in general, the Bison Cherry is among the hides which are considered stiffer than the cow hides. My other two bags are wonderfully soft but can stand on their own. The leather is luscious. I hope you don't give up on this company. The quality is unmatched to anything else I own. Thanks for the video. I want to ask you about the Cherry Bison. Did you get a chance to use it? How is it in terms of scratches and marks? On your other video, you made comments that the Mocha Medium tote doesn’t really get scratched. So in comparison with the Mocha, what do you think about Cherry Bison? And the Saddle as well? Hi...At that point the Mocha did not get scratched and it still doesn't have marks. But I am careful with it. I think it is possible that it will get scratched. My Avery Small did get scratched and it was not able to be blended-in like dooney leather. I actually sold my Avery Mini Cherry Bison to a friend last week. It was in perfect condition. The only reason I sold it is because I now have the Small Avery tote and it is the perfect size for my needs. The Cherry Bison is beautiful. I prefer that hide on smaller bags as opposed to the Medium or Large size because, in my opinion, it looks better in the Mini or the Small. My Cherry Bison had no scratches or marks. As I said, the Avery Small Tote in Saddle did get 2 scratches from my dog. I wish I could have been more help. Thank you so much for watching 💕

I hope that color is brought back. I need it! I don't think I can carry a Large due to the weight. I believe they start at 3 pounds empty..I am twice your age so my options are limited. Two pounds empty works for me. The Medium is perfect. I love everything about all the totes .. Actually, all the GFG products! I wish I could carry a larger tote. I love the look of a big tote. Yes I agree the weight is a little hefty... but I love it and to be honest I don't know what the issue is but I just don't feel the weight LOL...Can't wait to see what else you will add to your collection! :)

Hi Gerek, The bag is not lightweight but it is not heavy. It is comfortable on my shoulder, especially worn toward the back as I always carry my totes that way. The bag weighs 1 pound 8 ounces empty. Thank you so much for watching ❤️
