      HiPlains1 Toyota doesn’t have to compete. I’ve owned 7 Camry’s and wasted money on extended warranties because the car wouldn’t break down. I have to say thoughToyota stands behind their products. I had a 2009 Camry that blew some sort of tube to the oil something or other and I lost all my oil at 87,000 miles on the car. The engine was ruined. Toyota replaced the engine for free and gave me a rental car for a month while the car was being repaired. I now drive a 2019 Camry Hybrid that ‘I totally love. I don’t think ‘I could ever buy another car that wasn’t made by Toyota.

People don’t want to spend $50K+ on a KIA. But with that said you can find these 3 years old for $25K max with low miles! Now that’s a great deal. Great review. I love this car. The lesson is what happened to the Equus. It no longer exists and Hyundai went the whole route to a separate luxury brand. KIA isn't going to do that. The K900 isn't meant to be a big seller for KIA. It exists in the US primarily to be a draw into KIA showrooms and to enhance the prestige of the brand for those who purchase mainstream KIA products.

    A great review Joe. But here is why the K900 isn't selling~~~People spending this much for a car want something they can be proud of. Yes, it has everything you could want but it doesn't have snob appeal. Nobody wants to say to the valet parker, "Mine's the Kia".

    Beautiful vehicle but who’s going to pay over $60k for a vehicle with Kia written all over it. Even Hyundai knows enough to come up with a fancy ‘H’ to represent their brand. Kia has some beautiful vehicles. They should come up with a nice symbol to represent the Kia brand.

    The K900 is trimmed well, but maybe a bit underpowered. Not sure I could drop that much on a Kia. Just the stigma with it. I know that's a bad excuse. Maybe if the car had a real name instead of K900??? It sounds like a top secret project name. The Kia badge needs to be eliminated, blacked out or downsized. And nix the AWD badge altogether. No way I buy it new, but used...perhaps. Keep up the good coverage Joe!

      @@canadabear72 John Holst actually it is and that is the point of this car. This car is supposed to compete with cars like the 7 series, S-Class and A8 for 5 series, E-Class and A6 money.

    • @canadabear72
      @canadabear72 5 років тому

      @@Andrew-zv4fm That's right. Things like a V8 and massaging seats are all options on the German cars. Which, imo, is why Kia didn't offer those things. The K9 is actually great competition for those base models because it offers more luxury, performance and safety while still being more reliable and at least 30K cheaper. If you want to go further upscale, then the Kia still shines because of the value it offers. Either way, it's a great car.
