To make sure the hose stays attached you could spray the joins with flex seal.
Clever, but not safe! Washing machine hose failures are very messy (and possibly expensive). You need a proper hose that can take the pressure for many years!

Do not do this the garden hose is not designed to hold constant pressure for long periods it will burst!
They slip disconnect. High pressure. I trying to find where can I just buy a 6ft hose. No micky mouse.
Would have been good to have some pipe bore/fitting sizes to know what to get

Warm it up in hot water , apply some oil to connector ends
