- The MXBS models with two one-handed opening lugs inspire two thoughts for me:
- on the Swiss Tool, the square functionality remains possible by unfolding the knife or by not applying the entire handle to a surface,
- the choice of a serrated blade (belt cutter) required a choice between a file and a saw; the file was chosen.
Les modèles MXBS avec deux ergots d'ouverture d'une main m'inspirent deux réflexions :
- sur le Swiss Tool, la fonctionnalité équerre reste possible en dépliant le couteau ou en appliquant pas la totalité d'un manche sur une surface,
- le choix d'une lame crantée (coupe-ceinture) obligeait de choisir entre une lime et une scie; c'est la lime qui fut choisi.

Franchement j'ai les 2 modèles, le spirit MXBS pour mon EDC de tous les jours, et le swisstool MXBS pour mon boulot, c'est vraiment les meilleures pinces du marché je trouve, et ce après de multiples Leatherman que j'ai toutes revendues. Top costaud, top qualité, pas de jeu, bref aucuns défauts, de la précision Suisse quoi. Toujours aussi bien faites tes vidéos, bravo !!!

Diesel, I am on my Second Swisstool. My first one was left behind in a move from midwest to west. My "friends" were there helping me pack at the last minute. And they were burdened with keeping lots of stuff I didn't have room for. So i got to the western state and couldn't find my swissttool, so a couple years later I luckily found another one.
I've been thinking of buying the Spirit MXBS but i don't like using my fingernails to open tools. Can you open all the tools on the Spirit MXBS without using your fingernails? Like finding a small empty space to put your pinky in, and pull out all the tools with your pinky?
I would like to get a spirit xc eventually.
Mr. Diezelle, these are the prettiest multitools I've seen. Do you like the serrated knife blades on these?
The serrated blade is excellent, at the level of quality of those of the Wave & Charge.

Does the Swiss tool mxbs have a wire crimper behind the plier head? Lists a wire crimper on tool list but not seeing it in photos ?

@@jeffstergg Il faut faire attention aux deux ergots du Swiss Tool MXBS, ceux-ci peuvent être gênants, par exemple se bloquer sur les flancs latéraux de l'étui. Je conseille "Étui-ceinture et MOLLE" : 4.0841.N. Si vous ajoutez le clip de poche à votre MXBS, il n'y aura pas de problème.
You have to pay attention to the two lugs of the Swiss Tool MXBS, these can be annoying, for example getting stuck on the side sides of the sheath. I recommend "Holster-belt and MOLLE": 4.0841.N. If you add the pocket clip to your MXBS, there will be no problem.

J'en parlais en description. Au départ, le modèle MXBS fut conçu pour répondre à une demande de marine militaire où la lame crantée était préférable à la scie et la lime préférable à la scie. Alors impardonnable non car les modèles MX (avec scie) existent ! :)
I mentioned it in the description. Initially, the MXBS model was designed to meet a demand from the navy where the serrated blade was preferable to the saw and the file preferable to the saw. So unforgivable no because the MX models (with saw) exist! :)
