For some reason, Wave Mans Theme overwhelms me with sadness. I never played MM5 as a kid, i played it yesterday for the first time on legacy collection so there is no direct nostalgia factor. It is another underappreciated, forgotten tune from a bygone era: the 90's. I feel like ive heard this song before without having heard it.
I kind of know what you mean. I played megaman 2 and 3 in the 90s. Did not play megaman 5 until 2002. By then the 90s was already nostalgia and childhood memories for me(I was born 1986), so when I heard melodies like wave mans and other melancholic melodies from this game it was like a sad farewell to my childhood. And now 2002 is 22 years ago...
This is so relaxing to listen to. It's not my favorite song in the game but it's up there. I can't decide if this or Star Man's theme is more relaxing.
I love MM 7, too( and 5 for that matter). Regardless of the change in physics. MM 5 music had a completely different style. More laid back and relaxed. I loved that. And I just love MM 7 music. It has the best Wily Castle 1 theme hands down!
I start off with Wave Man because of this theme, and he's one of my favorite robot masters in MM5 just like charge man. Also, he's easy to beat with the buster instead of Star Man
from what I heard from a lot of fans some of them didn't like MM7 because of its new 2d engine style and some say it didn't feel like the classic at all, but you're definitely right, here does exist a lot of MM7 lovers there are a lot of MM7 fans out there besides you me and Alex Contreras. ^_^
My only peeve with MM7 was the fact that they screwed with the physics (same problem I have with MM8). You just don't mess with Mega Man's jump arc. I will know immediately. Other than that, it was a great game.
I normally wouldn't say anything but I really feel the need, if I may make a suggestion? The main melody that starts at 00:16, have you ever considered a V2 with that melody using the Slash Man pan flute sound? Do you think it would sound more tropical that way or no?

Bubble man is weapons bubble,
Toad man is weapons acid rain
But Rain is Water and Bubbles are made of Water
Feel free to suggest anything hun, and a good suggesting, this themes intro does remind me a lot of Slash Man's and yes I can consider a V2 ^.^
