@mista4700 cause there's no consistency yet. Look at niners/lions and a ton of other teams including seahawks '12-'14. Great lines have year to year consistency.
Olu struggled and I mean he struggled when he was doing back up duties. Sure he’s got experience under his belt but that’s about it. Could we have addressed c during offseason sure but John and Mike must see something we don’t. But don’t count on the line being great because another factor is how well does the line gel? If they don’t work well together well… that’s not an improvement. I long for the days when our o line was good
I am unsure about Abe knees, its a tricky one he's backing up defending and that type of muscle is going to be hard to rehab. Big guy and those knees its a tough spot.
I've been wondering for a long time why I haven't heard anything about Drake Thomas. Did not know he got injured last year. Really had big hopes he would be part of the LB rotation.
How cool would it have been to have young Bobby Wagner in Coach Mike's defense? Bobby is one of the most efficient and devastating blitzers of all time and he rarely got to it.
Pete was usually pretty vague regarding injuries so his response of "old knee" describing abe was a bit shocking. Then they indicated abe was beyond surgery and would be flying to Germany for magic potion injections. Sounds like they decided another conventional surgery and keep the secret injection route as last card to play??
I'm really rooting for Lucas, but I have a feeling that unfortunately, this guy's career is probably close to being over. Man, that sucks. I really hope not. But when you are talking about a chronic knee issue... It's hard to come back from that. I really hope he can though.
I would think Coby Bryant could be the fourth safety. He has a ton of ability. He needs to make it as a safety because the cornerback room is full. Southerland is a Penn State boy who stuck on that team because of his outstanding special teams. I don't believe he started on defense until his final year. As Corbin eluded to Southerland did play that small linebacker role in passing situations. As a fan I always want all these stand up guys to make it. I think there is a job somewhere in the NFL for Southerland and Bryant. I just wonder Coby Bryant did pretty well as a first year nickel, a new position for him. I think Jamal Adams rightfully earned the right to restart his career. Did Coby get left out because of that ? If I were the Seahawks I would give Bryant every opportunity to make the team. What it's going to come down to, can he make most every tackle. If so he's in. I don't know how they figure that out with three preseason games? Do they look at if he is in the right position in practice to make the play ? There is a difference of being there and making the tackle. He does have the true ability to knock the ball out. I think he did it four times in year one. He had one particular strip of Kyler Murry. Kyler had already gained thirty plus yards but was carrying the ball in one hand away from his body. Coby knocked it and Woolen recovered. That play was a big reason the Hawks won that game. John Schneider will make sure the head coach knows his ability, I hope.
Until you see Abe cutting laterally at speed, i wouldn’t get your hopes up too much. Straight-line isnt bad to see, but its not clear that the instability is now addressed.
Need to quit quoting the one time Carroll said 'chronic'. He always talked out of his butt when discussing injuries. rarely got correct info of what was actually happening.
Unless Pete had a sleepy joe moment don’t think Lucas will be able to play a full seasons with a 100% knee. He’s either gonna be shell of himself playing through the knee issue or he will be out the season again.
Just moved to Cheney. Thanks for the shout out
Thanks again, for a great show!
If we can get Abe back we might have a semi decent line this year
Better than seni decent. I don't know why y'all keep saying that. The line is almost complete now. Especially if Olu works out.
@@mista4700 Think the line goes as Olu goes. G's are weakest link, if Olu fails middle of our line is in trouble, if he excels, we ok

Any speculation on the specific knee surgery Lucas had, and what the expected recovery time might be?
Gave him a new one

Top 5 offense top 3 defense.
😊
🔥🔥🔥

Agree except Pete was always more optimistic. I hope Lucas balls out but we all need to see it.
How about the Ricky Person Jr signing are you that far behind??
How dare you have to wait 24hrs for a free video 😢
What about it. A backup rb who if he's very lucky might run down the field on kickoffs.
He's got the quick-tit
