My cervix with my second it was only 1.3cm I was put on bed rest and was on progesterone and I had my daughter 5 days before her due date she is now a happy healthy 8 year old
I went through the same with my first pregnancy - thankfully all went well! I feel from God that all this is part of His plan to bring awareness to this so just have faith in His will and perfect timing and all will be blessed - I will keep you and baby in prayers!
I’m so thankful to come across this video because I was told that my cervix was really short today at my anatomy scan but that my baby girl is perfect and she’s been moving like crazy.. I am also saved and put my faith in God and I’m just trying not to let fear creep in because I know she is blessed and on purpose for this exact time
I was told I had a shortened cervix at 33 weeks after going into the hospital with cramps. Doctor prescribed the same progesterone pills you were talking about as well as plenty of rest - basically putting me on house arrest to avoid pre-term labour. When I went in for my 35wk US they told me my cervix was back to normal. My job was very physically demanding and we think that's why I was having those complications. Now I'm at 37+ weeks and baby will be here soon! Lots of rest and taking it easy did the trick. Wishing you all the best!

I’m so happy to have found your channel 💖 I’m currently 23 weeks and I also have a short cervix they also found out during my anatomy scan when I was 21 weeks . My cervix was at 1cm and they ended up doing a cerclage and gave progesterone suppositories . The doctors just said to take it easy but I’ve been in bed as much as I can . The doctors put me off work for 2months. I had no idea this was even possible and I had two previous healthy pregnancies. There’s support groups on Facebook that have been helping me at this stressful time . Praying has been helping me a lot and seeing that I’m not the only one going through this gives me hope and faith that we will overcome this and we’ll have healthy babies . God bless your family 💕
Kayla, I had the same thing happen to me. I found out I had a shortened cervix at 23 weeks pregnant. I understand that terrifying helpless feeling. I was also put on progesterone but there was not improvement in length unfortunately. I wasn’t a candidate for getting a cerclage/stitch, so I had a pessary inserted and was hospitalized for 2 months. It was really tough and scary, but I’m so thankful to say my little girl made it. She was only born one month early. We were so blessed. Ask about options. Take it easy. Bed rest helped me so much. Wishing you so much luck.

Came across your channel this morning, I am coming up on 23 weeks and I too found out at my 21 week anatomy scan that my cervix was short and measuring a little over 1cm and have been placed on strict bed rest having to take progesterone suppositories as well. My little guy is very active though which keeps me very happy with high hopes. I’ve been having pelvic pain from the beginning of my pregnancy and now lower back pains. Thank you for this video.

I had the same issue with my pregnancy, they just put me on weekly progesterone injections and told me to stop working out for the duration of my pregnancy. It worked, I had my baby at 39 wks. I'm sure it'll all be fine, but I will still pray for you and your little boy 💜

I just wanted to let you know, Im currently in my 2nd pregnancy and at my 20 week ultrasound I too had a short cervix at exactly 2 cm as well. This is my 2nd pregnancy as well and my first pregnancy with my little guy ended at 33 weeks as he came early.(Thankfully he is so healthy and you would never know he was early) I had to be on weekly progesterone injections starting at 16 weeks to help prevent preterm labor with this pregnancy hearing that I had a short cervix so early on made me so scared. All I did was cry and found so many videos of women who had gone into super preterm labor. I too was paranoid with cramps and back pain, I came across your videos and saw your updates every few weeks discussing your measurements. I had weekly measurements taken and bless the Lord I have made it to now at 33 weeks. Just praying I make it full term as well but mine too has stayed at 2 cm throughout this pregnancy. I just wanted you to know that you are the only one who gave me so much hope that I had a chance to maintain my pregnancy. I was on weekly progesterone(makena) injections throughout my pregnancy which I think helped my uterus grow, but I made it to term!! Whatever your Dr. Recommends I would follow. I was still able to work- Im a Physical Therapist so on my feet all day, but ask about the cerclage(stitch) or makena injections(progesterone) I also went on an anxiety medication as I would have panic attacks throughout my pregnancy cause I was afraid of another preterm labor. Just take care of yourself and relax aa much as you can!! I would literally sit and not move at night or lay in bed and I sat as much as possible at work. I know aot of girls who had the stitch put in and they all carried to term!!

Don't worry I had the same thing happened to me at my anatomy scan. They told me not to have sex for a month and they would check again in a month. The next month they told me that everything was fine
That's reassuring. Did you limit any other activity besides sex? My doctor told me to avoid having sex for now and put me on progesterone suppositories until my next ultrasound in 2 weeks, but I'm wondering if it would be best to avoid doing housework and just lay in the bed because I heard this helped other pregnant women.

My little cousin was born at 25 weeks exactly and he had a grade four brain bleed and they said he would not survive and if he did he would be a vegetable he would not walk talk nothing but he is proving them wrong he is almost walking almost talking a normal four year old in most aspects

With my first she was born at 29 weeks my second was a miscarriage at 17 weeks with my third they had me coming in every week for the shot 2 months early I was 3cm dilated and they gave me 2 steroid shots to help his lungs grow he ended up showing right at 40 weeks but with my current pregnancy had my 20 week ultrasound last Friday they told me my cervix was short and now I have to take a vaginal progesterone pill everyday and with this being my fist week with taking it and today was my appointment and my ob told me that if it doesn't get better in a few weeks that I'll be admitted to the hospital
I'm expecting my 3rd. I'm 20 weeks and measuring 2.3 cm and beyond terrified I'm going to go into spontaneous preterm labor. I don't feel vaginal progesterone is goinf to get me to full term. I was told by my doctor they will not consider a cerclage unless I'm 2cm or less. & the cut off for the cerclage is 24 weeks. Anyone comment thoughts or experiences please thank you

My babies were fine. I had the same problem with my twin girls, but unfortunately my doctor did not intervene nor educate me about bed rest or not to drive. I lost both of my twins at 21 weeks 1 day while it could've been prevented.
Same exact thing with me. Thank God everything is okay with my baby. But my cervix is also short it’s 2.5 so the doctor prescribed me progesterone to put up in my vagina. He said I don’t need to be in bed rest just no heavy lifting (which I haven’t been doing). (I’m 18 weeks 6 days)
@@thendralnirmal hey I ended up having my baby at 26 weeks 6 days. I got steroid shots for his lungs at 23 weeks. I got the cerclage done at 21 weeks. My doctor took very long to come to the hospital for the cerclage. So I later got a strep b infection that caused my placenta to to abrupt. My baby spent 62 days in the nicu and is now home. He’s not on any medication, oxygen or feeding tube. He’s completely healthy, strong and growing thank God. And no around 25 weeks I started to feel less movement so I went to the hospital. They’d monitor me and everything was fine. I’d hear him moving on the Doppler but wouldn’t feel it. Later I started to feel him more.

I was told by my doctor they will not consider a cerclage unless I'm 2cm or less. & the cut off for the cerclage is 24 weeks. Anyone comment thoughts or experiences please thank you

@@magicness9504 get a 2nd opinion. I was sent to a high risk specialist who remeasured and it was normal.
@@greenpaint2266 hi i have an same issue now actually in 3rd month scan I have only 3 cm cervical length and doctor told me to take bed rest and again after 10 days scan 2.9,then next scan 2.8cm then they tell to do cervical stitch then I went to another doctor told 3.5 cm it is normal but i confused wat to do...

Going through this right now. 20 weeks had my scan yesterday and that's when I found out I had a short cervix. I'm so worried!

My babies were fine. I had the same problem with my twin girls, but unfortunately my doctor did not intervene nor educate me about bed rest or not to drive. I lost both of my twins at 21 weeks 1 day while it could've been prevented.

Same exact thing with me. Thank God everything is okay with my baby. But my cervix is also short it’s 2.5 so the doctor prescribed me progesterone to put up in my vagina. He said I don’t need to be in bed rest just no heavy lifting (which I haven’t been doing). (I’m 18 weeks 6 days)

@@thendralnirmal hey I ended up having my baby at 26 weeks 6 days. I got steroid shots for his lungs at 23 weeks. I got the cerclage done at 21 weeks. My doctor took very long to come to the hospital for the cerclage. So I later got a strep b infection that caused my placenta to to abrupt. My baby spent 62 days in the nicu and is now home. He’s not on any medication, oxygen or feeding tube. He’s completely healthy, strong and growing thank God. And no around 25 weeks I started to feel less movement so I went to the hospital. They’d monitor me and everything was fine. I’d hear him moving on the Doppler but wouldn’t feel it. Later I started to feel him more.

Hey I'm facing same issue. I have one doubt if I use progesterone pills in to vagina I feel less moments. If I skip one day that tablet I fell baby moments very well. What is the cause behind it
