For clarification, the two models offered and their respective price points are as noted. $1629 and $2199 $$1629 for the GeForce RTX 4060 155H, 512GB, 16GB DDR5 $2199 for the GeForce RTX 4070 185H, 1TB, 32GB DDR5 Please note that while mobile parts are used within the ROG NUC direct comparison are not easily done as the power envelope provided to the CPU and GPU can noteably differ compared to laptops. Currently you will not find comparable laptops with the total specification set offered on the ROG NUC at its price. Consider it offers support for three M.2 SSDs, 2.5Gbps Ethernet, expandable storage ( with some laptops having a single DIMM for upgrading ) and overall more comprehensive IO including TB4/USB 4. Hope this helps for anyone considering the ROG NUC.
The product looks good but for that price it is too much, building a PC with the same specifications is much cheaper. If you want someone to buy this product, reduce your price.
I'm very space conscious myself, had a gigantic tower PC before and kinda hated it just taking up space. This would be interesting for me to buy, but at this point I'm so used to the advantages of a laptop which comes with the screen, keyboard, and basically a battery backup in case the power goes out (which it does sometimes around here) so idk if mini PCs are really for me, but hey, more power to the people who want to get them!
better choice is minisforum Atomman G7 pto on AMD hardware. good perfomance, silent compare to that Asus mini pc and much cheaper. how you can say listen how loud it is when you are playing music at background mehh
You have to consider the total spec you will not find the expansion support or IO or flexibility for multi display out on a laptop the ROG NUC offers. Even comparing our own laptops consider mobile GPUs are limited / defined by their TGP or power allocation. Many laptops will have a much lower power envelope than the ROG NUC. NVIDIA allows the TGP to be set by vendor and their corresponding thermal and power design between 35 to 115W + 15 to 25 additional WATT via a dynamic boost. In this respec the ROG NUC is at the top end of the configuration and you would fine many laptops with a power envelope of 75 vs our 115W. Most laptops will with a high wattage 4070 will be in the range of 1899 to 2000+ USD so in this respect the ROG is comparable and offers better performance with more IO and expansion. Hope this provides some insight.
