No enough words to appreciate so much God like eternal music. In fact we general people are not enough worthy to comment anything. It's just straight out of cosmic art of singing. Divinity is what which connects other people directly to higher source. Pt. Bhimsen Joshi ji, you are simply immortal. You are here in form of your music to be with next thousands, lacs of generations to come. Hearts full sadar "Pranam" "Namaste" even today, even though you are not amongst us now.

Listen to Sri Pandit Venkatesh Prasad, he also belongs to same Kirana Gharana ( + Gwalior Gharana) as Panditji. You love the shades of Pandit Bhimsenji in his voice. Yes no one can replace Bhimsenji but Nature, in some other forms always provides suitable persons to fill the voids left by the legends. Listen to Pandit Venkatesh Prasad ji, he too will transport you to the Divine domain !!

Indeed great Bhimsen Joshi in Indian classical music.
A difficult raag to deal with , even more difficult to perform , much more difficult to perform with expertise & extremely difficult to perform in a masterly way . Raag Asavari Todi flows from the vocal chords of Pundit Bhimsen Joshi as if a turbulent mountainous river flows quietly in a harmonic motion in the PLAINS.
Thanks for giving words to the abstract knowledge of music.
Raaga Komal Rishabh Aasaavari's notes and their magic is also the influence due to which listeners have commented in such glowing terms here.
To continue and enrich this experience, may I suggest the following to my co-connoisseurs (सहरसिका:!):
same raaga on Sitar by Pandit Nikhil Banerjee. And on Sarangi by Pandit Ram Narayan.
(Entire bias, if any, about Sarangi as an instrument will also change).
Incidentally, the time of the day during which this raaga is recommended to be sung/played/heard also seems to be relevant to the atmosphere and impact (mood) it creates.
I'll now search if Pandit Hariprasad Chaurasia (flute) has also performed this raaga.
