I’m happy to know that you guys did find this song Give Me Your TMI amazing. It‘s definitely my favorite song of the album (also Case143). There are not many people saying it’s their favorite. I think Chill and Taste are the popular songs.
stray kids actually did in a way make a new genre, its called mala which comes from malatang, a word that is used to describe a popular chinese spicy, numbing hot soup, as it better categorizes skz's music than when kpop usually is classified as 'sweet' or 'bubblegummy'
I was going to mention this too!! Amazing!! Can you imagine what else and how many they have in their vault and just pick one when the time feels right! Superboard was like that too!!...talent!!
After I fell for SKZ music, I can’t listen to other boy groups (except Day6’s arena pop and Got7’s RnB edm). SKZ really is a genre unto itself. The songs are often genre mixing in a clever way. Lyrics are amusing and pun intended (and deep for philosophical ones). The guys are multi-talented, easy on eyes, and working as a team. I am just loving SKZ the music, members, and what they strive to represent.
Maybe this is why I can't listen to other boy groups very stickingly lmao I was like okay I stan so many girl groups and I stan skz it's so difficult to get out of this skz fun zone
That's actually the reason why i managed to adjust to the sudden singing and adlib to the instrumentals that i got used to from the unveil. Like changbin's voice fit it so well.
Mala taste genre that’s the new genre created by stray kids, it’s hot and flavorful because they always put different genres in one song and still sounded so good as one. Amazingly flavorful 👌
tbt when someone tweeted “this fnaf type beat” on twitter and it went viral with 2m views and 100k+ likes😭 and the living tombstone themselves have mentioned skz multiple times because of this now
give me your tmi HAS to be one of my all time fav bsides from stray kids, they never stop making amazing songs and new productions, it's literally minfblowing
anyone else really wanna see them and chan talk about music together LMAO I know its unlikely but I feel like you guys would have such interesting conversations
You should give Side Effects a listen sometime, they use Trance in a Kpop song which is brilliant! And its about choosing whether to go down the easy path of conformity or unconventional hard route of individualism - inspired by The Road Not Taken (or less travelled - a famous poem). Which is so Stray Kids and on topic. Genius! Mala Taste! Satisfies all of the senses ❤️🔥
This song went viral before it’s release where the post had the trailer for the song and was posted with “this fnaf type beat” and the living tombstone also expressed that he liked it fun fact this song was also made two yrs ago it was just sitting in chans laptop I can’t wait for ur reaction to super board
Give me your TMI is actually the song i was waiting for the most before it dropped, from the moment i heard the teaser i fell in love with the energy the song has. Can't wait to see ya'll react to Superboard, Han's second verse in that song is so ADDICTIVE!!
When people ask why Stray kids are 4gen this is why because they changed what music was around for so long to new and fresh never before heard of styles/mixes and were able to create a whole new genre, they really proved that with Side effects.
Thank you for always having the best reactions. Stray Kids never sound the same, keep it fresh, and make you catch different things the more you listen. It amazes me that some will say all their songs sound the same. Only someone that hasn't listened to their music can say that. Stray Kids being my introduction into K-pop, I'm finding it hard to stan any other groups because imo, nobody does it like them. They're unrivaled. That's what happens when groups do their own music AND love what they do. They carry around a vault of music because they love what they do, and are always working to perfect it. Even as busy as they've been, Han said he finished a song in October and one in January. Of course, he has others unfinished, but those are the recently completed ones. Who knows how many more they've completed that we haven't seen. 3RACHA is constantly writing new music, and Bang Chan is so talented in mixing and arranging sounds. To think 3RACHA are only 25, 23, and 22! (international age)
Stray kids are actually considered the mala taste genre pioneers ! So they actually have a genre that just refers to them ! Loved the reaction as usual can't ait to see the net ones !
okay so it makes me really excited to hear how innovative and creative the production of this song is!! it feels new, it doesn't sound like anything i've ever heard before (even really from stray kids) and i would be so down to watch a lengthy video (or even a podcast? 👀) from you two detailing your thoughts and breaking down the song. in fact, i would be incredibly interested in detailed analysis videos from you two on any of the songs you react to! it's incredibly interesting and fascinating to hear about music production, your perspectives on what's happening in the music and how it could be made, and all the tidbits about the producers you recognize sounds from! if you decide to make and share those style of videos, you have certainly got one dedicated viewer right here! whoever edited in that dolphin...you practically induced my very own spit take. kudos on your hilarious shenanigans, keep it up my good person!
I agree so much with the song form. We're used to have the same form in every single song but it's completely different with Stray kids. That's one of the reasons i loved their music from the first listen cause every single time, something unexpected came wether it's the chords they use, the samples, the topline. Nothing basic. I love their mind so much 😭
Stray Kids are called the pioneers of the Mala Taste genre! it began w/ God's Menu,, Thunderous, Maniac, Silent Cry (as far as i know, but im sure there's more) are the songs that are categorized under this genre so like if you feel like you cant pick a certain existing genre for their songs (like Give Me Your TMI), it's Mala Taste genre or SKZ genre!! your reactions are vv insightful and makes me appreciate SKZ's music more, so thank you!
To think that skz began with My Side (i believe) for the jarring contradicting genre in one song to "pioneering mala-taste genre" during God's Menu. And youre right omg, the concept of tmi and the overloading instrumentals and styles in the song HAHA skz really breaks the barrier of language by expressing the message thru the sound itself.
If someone has already made this comment, I'm sorry, I missed it. Chan has said that when he created Stray Kids his PLAN was for Stray Kids to be Their Own Genre. As you can clearly see, they've succeeded in doing just that. SKZ sounds like NO ONE else. NO ONE else sounds like SKZ.
i loooooove give me your tmi SO MUCH probably has to be my favorite off maxident. it's so fun with all the different little sounds and beats, incredibly satisfying to listen
omg I am deceased at the "Maplestory, Kerning City" comment because those are the SAME VIBES I GOT WHEN I FIRST HEARD IT! Stray Kids's sound will never get predictable - and I admire them for that and will never grow tired of it! Loved this reaction from you guys, can't wait for SUPERBOARD's! HAN has been shining for me in this album, and I think you'll like his parts in that song.
I always learn a little something from you guys and it makes me listen again to songs I might have overlooked before. When you are done with this, I'd like a series of non-reaction Skz analysis videos from you guys, getting into detail about all the things that you are always too blown away to talk about in the reaction videos, like how they are mixing genres, using voice and instruments in unusual ways, etc. Because their work is so jam packed, a normal reaction video can't keep up. And those of us who really like their work would love to see professionals talking sepcifically about what makes them unique, and good. There are a lot of anti-Skz commenters who post a lot, saying that 3Racha should not be producing their songs, that they are not good producers, their music is poorly made, sloppy, etc. So it would be nice to hear from people who have experience in not just music, but kpop music specifically, what it is about their music and production that is professional, what shows that it is not sloppy or slapdash. I'd love to hear some of those things from you guys, sometime when you aren't completely blown away from a first listen. And I'd love to know if their music holds up for you after multiple listens.
i totally agree when u said SKZ is a genre cos ....,,,i couldnt describe it..TMI for example..the sound..is different..odd but even put together makes wonders,,hmmm i dont know how to explain.. and am glad u both appreciate it as much. ..Thanks
I was so excited for you guys to react to this song because as someone that’s been getting more into music production and has wanted to learn how to produce music for years this song was one of those songs that musically blew my mind and I have been saying you need to check this out since you finished the unit songs because I knew it would blow your minds too it’s so clever and the guitar really does lend itself to the electronic parts and it is such an amazingly crafted song
Finally watching ! I really liked your reaction cause it's definitely in my top 3 favorite songs in maxident ! The whole thing is insane, and the last part with changbin is amazing. Hypes me so much
This song's instrumentals went a bit viral on twitter bc a stay said it gave FNAF vibes, and The Living Tombstone retweeted and really liked it! I'm curious about you reacting to (and posting) the instrumentals of this one
I love this song, it had such a great start too. Aaaand this is why they are "mala." I really enjoy your reactions because you focus on some of the production aspects that I would miss and it helps me appreciate Stray Kids even more. Thanks.
you guys had me rolling in laughter. yeah i can see where Maxident album fried our brains. they are all so good and hard to pick a favorite one. I think my favorite is Taste till I hear one of the other songs. LOL thanks for your reaction and catch you on the next video.
I can't wait for y'all to see Circus! Also, seriously...go back to do Red Lights by Bang Chan and Hyunjin and Domino from No Easy. And then forward to do Deep End by Felix on SKZ Replay.
because you mentioned it, there's actually a rumor that said give me your tmi is meant to be a title track for go live before stray kids chose god's menu (god's menu got chosen in the last minute btw) because it's give you the similar sounds with TOP (TOP was released before god's menu)
6:13 should be a genre just called Stray Kids.... that would simplify a lot of things. ummm usually genres have definition, identifiable characteristics. They are so varied you can't define it --- other than, unnamable, not possible to put in a box -- their box is all boxes...
Always love u guys react to skz❤❤.. I really want to see u guys react to their other song Domino, Side Effect, Boxer, Miroh, Victory Song, 19... and also Heyday by 3 Racha
Stray Kids genre!! Yeayy! We stan that!!!!! Ouh no. This is not the end of the year 😂😂 A little TMI for you both: Stray Kids is dropping their full Japanese album in a few day! Yeah. Good luck with that..😂😂
I just love how: D'Some: *Throwing half comments* "WOW, OH...That's me!" *hand movement of What?! DROP" Han-C: *I'm here, but not mentally* Love you, guys, thanks for reactions and love for SKZ, they're truly one of a kind! 🖤💫

I'm literally watching this at school, but its lunch time and if I get caught using my phone I'm done for 💀

I keep telling u give me ur TMI is fire 🔥my top 3 would be case 143, TMI and 3RACHA.
Next stray kids distric 9
I hope next song is Domino by Stray Kids 😊

(Malataste*) yes they are amazing
Fun fact they actually made this song two years ago but it was in their own personal song vault.
I was going to mention this too!! Amazing!! Can you imagine what else and how many they have in their vault and just pick one when the time feels right! Superboard was like that too!!...talent!!

"Give Me Your TMI" is a very underrated song🤧 especially Changbin's emotional vocals 4:15
Exactly how I feel!!
