Thank you Lucak teacher, that's exactly what I talked about, you showed very very well where the brushes have an effect. I have completely improved in portrait making, now I am making war materials and believe me, your brushes are still very useful to me. Also, thank you very much for meeting our requests and requests and for this video. With all respect.
Please will this be here even after the live session really need to digest calmly 😌. Thanks once again for your tutor it means a lot and mehn I need those brush.
Hey Benedict! thank you very much man, I think that that would be very useful, a nice chill live session would make it easier for a lot of these steps to be explained more, maybe in twitch in the future, who knows! :)
Very thorough, straight forward, and an actual process, always so awesome to see how you approach art and the tools behind it so appreciate your videos especially like this!
I’m little confused if my light is a pink or warm color would the characters highlights/ lighting also be off-pink? Just not sure either if cool parts of skin would also depend on environment or if the skin is just naturally off-blue where there’s no bloodflow
Light and color interactions are always a bit complex to figure out, but in general you can see how they work better with traditional paint, if you have a red object and you put a blue light on top, the light highlights would shift towards purple. The further the color of the light and the object are, the more desaturated and weaker the perceived bounced light is :)
Hey Nick! so, I locked the transparency of the hair layers, that means that Ican paint on top of them without having to worry about "getting out of the lines"
Hey Starlyte! thank you, sure, most of my other tutorials are for procreate I think, so you can definitely go through them if you are interested more on those, but for sure a lot of procreate ones are still gonna come
Hey Akim, yeah.... they can be really expensive. I think that a galaxy tab could be great but nobody beats the ease of use and the feeling of the apple pencil. Maybe you can get an ipad mini, or maybe an used ipad like mine, a 2017, it still works super solid
Hi, Lucas I am new to your channel I am using photoshop 2020 and I install your free brushes but it does not have any of the brushes that you mentioned in your video.
Hey Saad, thank you very much for the support and welcome to the community. Yes, the free brushes have only some of the brushes of the whole LP Brushes pack. You will see some of them referenced here and there in some of the videos, but this one was specifically done for my Portrait pack that comes in the Premium Bundle
For me, this process works the best.I make the base with the sketch and then on top of it I go with the colour. But of course there are a lot of different ways of making art.

I like your free brush pack, especially the LP Magic Chalk, which is now one of my favorite brushes
That makes me very happy!!
Wow thank you!!!
happy to help 👍
Hei, Lucas! I just bought these brushes but I can't find the skin texture brush. Did you replace it?
Hey Alex, thank you for buying my brushes. All the skin ones are under LP Portraits.
@@LucasPeinador thank you and congrats, nice brushes, very useful!

How did you shade the hair without the brush drawing on the face or other surrounding areas?
Hey Nick! so, I locked the transparency of the hair layers, that means that Ican paint on top of them without having to worry about "getting out of the lines"
So helpful! ^_^
I am happy to hear that

Heeyy Lucas!! As an art student i want to ask if adding filter to a painting is okay?
Hey Raniel, absolutely, it is suuuuuper ok. Just don't overdo it so it doens't look too "digital"
i purchased your brushes what do i do now? they’re nowhere to be found?
Hey Kram, I think I sent you a message already, but if not, please ping me at lucas@lucaspeinador.com and I'll solve it for you

Lucas I use procreate
But this video was very helpful
Hey Samuel, I gotta make more Procreate tutorials, it seems that everybody that watches my channel prefers procreate hehe
@@LucasPeinador yeah I would love to watch more procreate tutorial from you
I have a question. What’s the point of a sketch when you can just have color in the beginning?

Can you make video how to shade step by step in procreate?? please I saw your other videos and i cant understand please its a request
Hey Yogesh, I havea few painting videos featuring procreate, when you say shading, what do you have in mind?
@@LucasPeinador I mean step by step tutorial like which button do we use for shading like blending and etc because I just got i pad i need to use some help please
How to blending?
I usually stick to the smudge tool for blending :)
@@LucasPeinador can u tutorial me, it still hard :(((
How do i activate the kind of color palette you use on my photoshop
You just go and find it in Window
Illustrator next please!!??
Oh, illustrator is not my expertise, vectors were never my friends
@@LucasPeinador same here what do you recommend as a solution to the pixelation issue I get sometimes when I’m using photoshop when people zoom into my images?
Can u show a more detailed way of putting your canvas in grayscale
Hey, in photoshop an easy way to do so is to put a layer on top of all the others, paint it black and set it to "hue" mode
Is there any way to use the lp brushes in medibang paint pro?
Hey Martin! Sorry to say that no, it is possible, but they would have to be basically recreated inside medibang for them to work
Please do another start to finish video but on procreant
I'll deeeefinitely do a ton more videos like that on Procreate :)
I'd like to get your premium brushes but I can't pay cos my country can't use PayPal
Hey Creative, first, that means a lot, thank you for the support. Sorry about Paypal...you can use credit card also if that is of any use..
