- The 40th Anniversary of The Supremes was celebrated with a National Concert Tour in 1999 by the "Uber-Glamorous, Mary Wilson and company. She is after all one of the Original Classic Motown Artists (so would you expect anything less?).
The show was very well crafted, slick, classy, soulful and tight! It was so well crafted that is was very much like watching a Broadway Production, but hey, wasn't there a big Broadway Production about the Supremes anyway? Ok let's not go there (hehehehehe....) Let's just enjoy here, the opening of the Lady Supreme herself Ms. Mary Wilson and "Coming Out of the Dark" followed by "Love Child". Enjoy!
Was in the mood to watch this video again.. How about, Is One The American Popular Music's Icon's of All Time,,,, along with Lena Horne, The Andrew Sisters, Tony Bennett, Judy Galand, Bobby Darin, Sammy Davis, Nancy Wilson & people like that?..........

@SWDetboy I agree with that assessment wholeheartedly my friend! In some instances Mary Wilson's career has been far more enduring.......50 years! Whew!
She should have sung "Ain't No Mountain High Enough, Mahogany Do You Know Where You're Going To, The Boss. She's good!
Diana Ross???Who dat???

A great star giving a great performance, but poor sound quality and unfortunately her make up was designed for more intense lighting. not a mistake she often makes.
