It was nice yet quite disturbing to see just adding an additional open/free space to the original gives residents a true 'freedom'. Such a sad portrait of today's housing inequalites
can someone explain to me - with all this transparency they have in buildings (trees going through house, a lot of very big sliding doors, windows) how do they keep heat losses to a minimum? also, if you add winter garden and balcony - do you still get enough light inside previous spaces (since they are now deeper in the building)?
the wintergardens add passive solar heat to the flats. I guess that the light is not an issue because they widened the openings of the walls. And in general it is wise to add roof overhangs to south facing facades as it prevents overheating. I think the general philosophy is to have an intermediate space (the wintergarden). Which can in summer time act as an extension of the interior living spaces and in the winter act as a temperature buffer.
Great transformations of apartments giving indoor / outdoor space. BUT NO, NO … to the National Art Gallery in Berlin, Mies created an absolute miesterpiece of proportion and detailed design.

Great work, there are so much caring and beauty you brought to environment and people throughout your projects 👏👏👏
The veranda adding project was so nice.

All this is precisely calculated (various layers of thin material you make slide following the seasons).

What's the name of the movie referred at 7:45?
May be “Cocorico! Monsieur Poulet”
The extensions of the departments... hasn´t that a complication to the structure? Why? How do yo do it?
The extensions are totally independent. A concrete structure on the ground.
Great introduction to Lacaton and Vassal, but way to long winded!
