This team doesn’t need another RB and what a pointless conversation
Lamar hasnt shown he can get past first round of the playoffs. What are you talking about? Purdy is the man. Period.
I agree I’d keep Brock over Lamar too. Brock is coach able with no ego and Lamar seems like he is more ego and not as interested in being coached. I think Lamar would drive Kyle nuts.
I dont think Lamar Jackson has the field vision that Brock Putdy has. Once he runs, its head down (Lamar).
I agree 100%, and I believe you can’t teach that. I think we already had someone like that, although he was not as good as Lamar, Kaep looked real good in the first two years.
They are different. Lamar has the outside physical assets. Brock is very good with the efficiency, accuracy and reading defenses. Last year in the post season Spags said, make Lamar throw. 😢
He also dont have the weapons brock have
@@AhmadKing-fq4kd but Lamar has a better o line
@@karenhardie1132 While at the same time saying after the Super Bowl that Brock was "shredding their zones". A lot had to happen for that SB to go the Chiefs way, much of which had ZERO to do with Brock Purdy
Lamar Jackson has his certain limitations that require building around him a certain way as does Brock. Lamar is the better player
Yes because Lamar Jackson is a running back 😂
Lamar is one of the most electric talents the league has ever seen. He's up there with the likes of Michael Vick in his era, Barry Sanders, etc., the guy is incredible to watch. That said, as a pure passer, he still has plenty of growth to do. Brock is still very young in the league, and yet he scans the field much like Drew Brees used to, not that he's Drew yet obviously, but that's the type of vision and calm he brings to the position.
For as great as Lamar is, he doesnt bring calm to the position. I think Lamar in a lot of ways is like early career Steve Young. Steve in his era could do some incredible things with his legs, so he was very willing to escape the pocket earlier than he should because he knew he could pick up 15-20 yards on the ground, but he would tell you that he really became a HOF level player when he learned to operate from the pocket at an elite level. Then his legs were just this added bonus, this great weapon he could still go to if all else fails, but he wasnt relying on it to win games.
I think Lamar is plenty talented enough and capable of putting up Steve Young or Drew Brees type passing numbers, but that offensive system just continues to almost force him to use his legs, and I think that's hindered him more than helped him as a now 7th year starter. You contrast that with what Kyle asks of Purdy in his system, and its totally different. He keeps feeding Brock more and more stuff, and Brock's like, "Yep, got it, what's next?". So from a pure passing standpoint, Purdy has been able to do more, but as I said, I think he's allowed to do more, and Lamar hasn't been allowed to expand on his passing game much since his first season
Brock is better passer that is not even debatable. Lamar is far better runner.
Lamar not accurate enough and doesn't read defense very well. He's an electric player, but give me the guy who makes the most small window throws in SF offense.
How come Brock Purdy is the only quarterback you guys expect to block for himself. How did Mahomes do against the Buccaneers in the Super Bowl? Brock Purdy is bashed because he let Chris Jones run free.
Neck up Brock miles better. Lamar stronger arm and faster. Ill take Brock.
Is Brock better? Probably not. Lamar is a two time MVP. What I do know is if Brock Purdy missed those same wide open wide receivers, with perfect protection and plenty of time like Lamar did, they’d be calling for his benching after one game.
Lamar is better than Purdy at everything other than pure quarterbacking. So I agree, Purdy is a much better option on a team with a lot of mouths to feed
lol this isn’t even a hot take. Bruh Brock over Lamar any day of the week.
And twice on Sunday.
Tell that to casual fans 😂😂😂
Brock doesn't miss an open Zay Flowers in the end zone. Period.
Can't lie Lamar looked like a magician behind that Oline on Thursday but I'm taking Brock
I’m not even a fan of lamar and have a lot of critiques of him, but Kyle would design some amazing things for him with these weapons. The read options he can do with CMC/fake jet sweeps with deebo/his rapport with tight ends aka kittle and the play action game would be all time lethal. It would be a different type of offense , but DC’s would be having nightmare’s at night gameplanning against a lamar led 49er’s
Josh Allen on this team is automatic superbowl
I was thinking the same thing
But no one else on the 49ers will look like All Pros under Lamar because he would be running with the ball a lot more often so CMC gets less touches, BA and Kittles and Deebo will get less catches thus making them irrelevant and they would want to leave…
No… Lamar is self centered. He wants all the glory for him. Stop bs
The offense would have to look dramatically different. I'm not sure Lamar Jackson is a good enough passer but obviously his running makes him a serious threat to defenses. If Lamar was asked to run the offense as designed right now I think he'd struggle and end up running too much.
Lamar is a better player purdy is a better quarterback
Guru needs to get his head out of the clouds. Lamar is not this great QB that can dish it out to every one of his weapons on any play. He has decent arm strength, but below average accuracy. If Lamar wanted to play for a team with weapons and really compete for a Super Bowl every year than he would have looked to go to the Niners or other teams when he had the chance. Lamar is selfish and wants to be the center of attention and that’s why he will NEVER win a Super Bowl. Look at last nights game, Derrick Henry couldn’t get going because Lamar wants to run around with the ball and take sacks and incompletions instead. Lamar had his chance to win that game several times in the last few minutes of that game but choked instead. Take away Lamar’s running stats and he’s not even a Pro Bowl QB he only won his MVP wowing these non athletic members of the press that voted for him with his running ability. Brock Purdy’s numbers regardless of that Christmas game should have won him the MVP last year.
Lol no.
Ni u have a weird obsession with fantasy football
Hell no this is a stupid take even for Steinmetz
wtf did I click on?
Yall fucking drunk
Lamar throws the ball like sh!t
You have lost your whole freaking mind to anyone who even suggest Purdy is better than Lamar.
Lamar is a better RB. Unfortunately they play QB
@@soulblack621 If I had to chose between the 2 it would be Brock all day.
@@Tackleqb🤣🤣🤣🤣
@@Tackleqb Luckily you don't get a choice lol
Lamar has zero touch, something Purdy has mastered and uses effectively. Rocket arm QBs are woefully over-rated, especially when they don't have the processing or accuracy to back it up.
Sure, they'll give you a highlight reel 60 yard TD throw every now and again, but only after turning the ball over countless times and making all kinds of bad decisions.
I lost count of the bad throws Mahomes, Lamar, Love and Hurts made this weekend that I KNOW 100% Purdy makes, even simple screen passes and checkdowns.
Oh please. 2 MVPs versus little Brock? Find a real topic.
Who's been to the Super Bowl?
@@JoMan757So Brock is better than Josh Allen and Joe Burrow too based upon that?
