- This is day 2 of the Last Team Standing tournament on Sam Rayburn put on by Outlaw Outdoors. Ken Smith and Dicky Newberry come in with 5 fish that weigh 28.74 lbs to win the event. Stringer is anchored by an 11 lb giant caught in the last few minutes of the day on a Chrome 1/2 ounce Bill Lewis Rattle Trap. Lots, and lots of fish catches on this video.
Congrats! Great video and like the way you lay out your thinking for the tournament. Saw you guys mentioned on Bass Blaster! Good luck to Dickey on tour!
Congratulations to you both
Good luck catching them on Arigs now. Everyone on the lake is throwing them! I’m sure I’ll get hated on for this but I would not have posted this. I can tell right where y’all were fishing! But it is a great video none the less.
No hate here...
Great informative video. I am on a high school fishing team and we have tournaments there and we don’t live near the Rayburn so I watch tons of videos over deep water and brush pile fishing and this has by far been the most informative. I would love more videos like this.
Great video! Great day on the water. Congrats on the win! Looking forward to meeting you guys in TX.
Yall were on em wow. What side of the lake is this?
We were running drains all over, burned 26 gallons of gas that day. If they are there they’ll show themselves pretty quick, so we’d roll up, make 8-10 casts and if nothing fire it up and roll on
Get the net, Ken!
Holy cow that was a big grizzly that fish down it's throat. Really cool to see that. Loving your videos Ken!
Yes, she ate a 🐻 😀
Great bag of fish! Good tournament!
Nice work. Makes me want to move out there every time I watch one of your videos....
Great video!!!!!!!!
Awesome videos as always bud!!!
Congrats! What a great video
Great stuff Ken! Get the net!!
Awesome day guys good job!!
Gotta love Rayburn!
Good video Ken that was a great catch 11 er . Seal the deal
We culled a heavy 3, would not have won without that last one... very fortunate to have jumped a good one off there two weeks before which is only reason we stopped there
Awesome job guys, I'd love to know what rod Dickey is using.... lol
He’s using the Lew’s ledge series swimbait rod, he loves it
how much fuel do you carry?
Jeffrey for a really longtime i only carried what i felt was absolutely necessary for a day + 10 gallons. Now I top it off everytime, it doesn't make that much difference in speed and if I decide I want to go from 1 are to the other I always have the fuel to do that (no where on Rayburn or Toledo to buy gas on the water).
@@KenSmithFishing Same on St. Johns. Makes it very difficult when it's tourney time. I only have a 12 gal tank.
Wow, what boat are you running?
You boys put on a clinic. Sometime, could you do a video showing drains on your graph? I can picture what you're talking about, but I'm still learning how to use and interpret my graphs. Great video, thanks!
Michael Edens , check out "Fish the moment " UA-cam channel. He recently put out a video discussing this topic.
Look at last few minutes of “remainder of thanksgiving week part 1 video”, I tried to lay it out there
Ken Smith Ken, that was a great explanation. Thank you, sir!
Man ya'll smoked em, congrats on the big mama!!
Wich brand a-rig ya'll using and what swimbaits do you like on em?
Bill, have a video coming later this week. Dicky found a better mousetrap, a rig made by Shane's baits. I ordered....well, a bunch. As soon as I get my shipment I'll finish the video of why I think it's the best I've seen so far and why I (we) like it, Stay tuned!
Hey Mr. Ken ! I’ve heard you say before that your having a hard time connecting to the younger generation. Well I have a couple suggestions and I would also love to be the first black person on your channel.
Hey Justin, love to hear your thoughts, I’m at kensmithfishing.com. You obviously missed Antwon fishing with me at Toledo this summer!!!!
Shoot I love his videos and I’m only 21 lol
Hey ken, do you mind telling me Dickey’s set up for Alabama rig?
That’s funny....I caught the biggest fish on the a-rig....he did on the trap!
Same as always, 3/32 or 1/3 ounce heads, keitech, fluke jr or swimming senkos for bait
Luke one other thing, dicky found an A-rig that we actually like better. I just got the name from him, it’s called the fifth element. Made by Shane’s baits, it throws better, little smaller profile and its more durable. I’ll get a video up about them this weekend
Thanks ken, sorry for all the questions but what rod, and line does he like?
YOWZA!!!
Y'all old men know how to catch em lol good bag
We keep our walkers strapped down in the back deck
Lol
Ken would you happen to have a copy of John Hopes book I could buy from you?
I don’t but I think you can find him/them on Facebook. He has a hunting ranch in south Texas
