- Dogs were a big part of frontier towns during the wild west. In this video learn about the dogs of Dodge City. Many prominent citizens owned dogs in Dodge City and news about the dogs often made the papers. Greyhounds were a common dog in Dodge City and were used for hunting antelope and other game. There were also a number of "wild" dogs in Dodge City, that were a source of fear because they may have carried rabies.
I think we forget sometimes that many dogs 🐕 were in the wild west. Thanks for the story, Mike
Thank you for another interesting story.
Holy cow I bet watching a Greyhound hunt Antelope would be absolutely insane, honestly when I read the videos title I was imagining the dogs of Dodge City to be a violent hoard of mangy back alley mutts who devoured any babies, drunks and grandma's they encountered roaming the streets but wow such a cool video thank you!
Glad you liked it!
The dog vs dog article was priceless. I wonder how Judge Judy would have handled the case.😀
Lol!
Great fiddle. Good chanel.
Another great and fascinating video!
On a side note, is it me or does Robert resemble Val Kilmer when he played Doc?
Yeah he does, I think it's the facial hair

That's a great piece.
James “Dog” Kelly, so he actually served under Custer. One of the TV episodes, Wyatt Earp mentions this. Knowing he owed the “killer” dog is fascinating.
I need to watch the TV show
@@legacyofthewest on the show Kelly does not have a dog. I watch it over and over again and have my favorite episodes from each season. I love to see Wyatt fist fight and to me from the show Doc Holiday was the biggest bully ever I just sit back and laugh.
AINT NOT
