This thing has aged gracefully, at first I didn't think it would be half decent given that IR SAMs were't performing too well and often had issues locking on targets so I thought this would be the same but this is one of the best anti-airs still, it was at a better spot when it was 11.0 but it works so well at top tier.
2 years ago the Type 93 couldn't hit the broadside of a battleship with its missiles...in fact the missile tracked towards the target and at the last second veered hard way to deliberately miss the aircraft. 16 Missiles fired for 1 kill back in the day - Gaijin greatly improved the missiles and they still fail but for more realistic reasons like G overload and recon drones are a pain to hit lol
They should seriously consider giving it the radar truck that spawns together with you that either stay in the spawn point and give you radar scan or you can command the vehicle to move like in a RTS game because you have a limited range of how far you can be away from the radar truck until the radar scan dissapear to simulate the lenght of the cable wires connecting both trucks 🤔
When SAM actually stands for "Slapping Airborne Morons". Japan's top tier line up has got to be one of my favorites. Maybe gets overshadowed a little by the ridiculousness that certain other nations get, but. It is just genuinely a fun set to run with I think.
why does no one talk about the fact that it has 2 additional missile boxes on its sides and they arent even attached to anything they are just laying on another box(if you use nvidia experience you can clearly see that realistically it would just fall off which really irritates me)
What is the launch range and lock range? I mean I have to lock on the enemy before I fire so I can only launch it when enemy within 6 km. Then what's is the launch range? how far the missile can fly?
