I gave this a shot before watching your video, and ran into the exact same problem. NITR is weird. Under testing conditions it doesn't flash until over 300 (350?) temp or over 2 pressure (~2.5?). SOMETHING is consistently setting it off when bombarding it with enough neutrons though. Even with low amounts of polonium, with pressures and temps appearing to be well below the danger zone (~50 temp and 0.05 pressure), it just explodes randomly. I am wondering if somehow neutrons are becoming plasma or otherwise creating momentary localized pressure or temperature spikes which touch of the nitro. It definitely appears to be some interaction with the neutrons causing it.
Spike, nitroglycerin is very explosive and I mean VERY explosive. Not only that but also, it’s VERY delicate. Even just tapping it very softly might cause the entire house to explode. You cant transport it because it will vibrate blowing the device up, you can pressurize it or it explodes, if it gets to hot? kaboom. It’s VERY hard to use.
I made a similar thing with nitr, except I turned the gas into oil so I could burn it in a steam generator. Was so hard to manage it, you need pressure to make oil, but if its too much the nitr explodes.

There is a really cool game I think you would enjoy a lot called space engineers It is available on steam PlayStation and Xbox It is similar to KSP only with superior graphics physics and optimisation. It also has weapons that can be accessed without mods and some large servers I think you would enjoy it a lot!

what you need is a larger reaction chamber. you're limiting your production with keeping your reaction pipe smaller.
Surrounding the nitroglycerine tank with the polonium should help.

You can use PUMP for exact pressures, but it's a bit cheaty. Also, what's the ID? I'd like to see it.

It really depends on how you play but in a survival speed run the target is to get of the planet the fastest also both games have a similar feel
