I wanted to thank you for your amazing content. About 19 months ago when the pandemic started I watched one of your videos about intubation . To be honest with you , that particular video changed my game completely. I have successfully intubated severals patients on my first try using your techniques Thank you so much for your knowledge. Stay safe .
Thanks.. but sir I have a question is this position is needed also for neonates? I mean where i put the mattress for them under shoulder or under head?
Yes its still a great position for cmac d-blade and other hyperangulated blades (glidescope lopro) Its often less necessary but i find an increased headlift useful if the tube has trouble passing in at the correct angle :)
@@ABCsofAnaesthesia thank you I haven’t used much position manipulation sense using the glidescopego but had a challenging airway the other night , I just lifted the pts head as you suggested and was able to pass the tube
@@ABCsofAnaesthesia I learned it off of emcrit, his tongue was big and was making it hard to get view but when I seated the blade it felt like I didn’t have the best view, lifting the head and having someone hold made it successful

Thanks for details explanation.
Haven't heard the raising the legs trick. How often would you say you do that before inducing?
Well explain
Nice...keep it up
Your content is great, thanks alot
I kept two pillows underneath but it failed b/o I can't hyper extend
Thanks man. Good didactic video, keep it up.
Great info!
But isnt raising the legs potentially going to decrease FRC?
You do it right before intubation
Is this position optimal for glide-scope intubation with a hyper-angulated blade ??

Nice work! That technique isn’t often taught but great instincts on attempting that
