Possible you purchased a beautiful fake? One detail to check on all Keepalls is the count of stitches. I believe there should be 5 stitches on the strap connected to the handles (and on the shoulder strap for the bandouliere). Most fakes ("Japanese vintage", many verified by "authenticators" like RealReal, etc.) have only 4 which I've heard is a compromise of quality and cost cutting. The bags on the LV website have 5 stitches (zoom in). My Keepall from years ago has 5 stitches.
