    Thanks for this, I used it this weekend to rebuild a seized locker on an HDJ80. Motor spindle bearing was jammed with sand, so stripped it all and regreased it and it works like a charm. Saved £490 buying a new one! Thanks again.

      Happy to hear it helped you restore your locker instead of replacing it with a new one.

      I don't have a locked 80 in the shop at this time. Next time I do, I will be sure to make a quick video.

    Great vid!! Thanks!! By the way, which a good adhesive for the job?

    • @Logicwithnoreason
      @Logicwithnoreason  2 роки тому +3

      I have used hot glue to get it in the right position and test. Then I would apply small amount of JB weld to the sides of the magnets to better hold them in place. Good luck!

    Hey there I ended up setting up exactly how you had it hooked up to battery to get it to unlock and lock again and the rod was way further then when it was set bit confused cheers.

    • @Logicwithnoreason
      @Logicwithnoreason  10 місяців тому

      If you test it on the bench - there is a risk of the rod going out further than supposed to and it will lock up or not go back in. When installed in the truck the rod physically cannot go out beyond the max. I would suggest redoing it per video and do a short bench test to prevent it from going to far out.

    I’m experiencing a problem with my 100 series locker actuator (pins are different but most of the assembly is the same). The motor spins - I can hear it begin - but the locker will not fully engage. I’ll start with the motor and check the magnets then move on to the more complex parts. I doubt the locker was ever turned on before now…found the axle in a junkyard with 167,000 miles on it

    How did you get the spring on the big gear back in place?

      @Logicwithnoreason  Рік тому

      If it's the same locker - then it will function just the same. Did you try adjusting it to the method in video?

    • @tomaspodrazil337
      @tomaspodrazil337 Рік тому

      so basically when is the locker on the car and im not using it's lock. or unlock? thank you

    • @Logicwithnoreason
      @Logicwithnoreason  Рік тому

      @@tomaspodrazil337 When the locker is installed (from factory) to your differential, and not engaged, its unlocked. However, when installing/removing the locker from the diff for service, the locker needs to be given the lock command and be locked. This is so you can access the bolt inside. When I remove lockers for service, I will first turn the switch to lock the locker and wait for it to engage. When installing, you will install it in the "locked" position. Then turn the dial to "unlock". Hope this helps.
