Underrated thriller from John Frankenher
One of the best martial arts films of it time.

I think the subtle point they're trying to make here is that the movie is called
THE CHALLENGE!!!
0:06- As long as there's not Scooby-Doo ghost samurai, like in The House Where Evil Dwells (1982), we're good.
0:31- They got TRON (1982).
1:05- No more will we get our dicks chopped off, which I'm surprised hasn't happened to fight choreographer Steven Segal at this point.
1:47- AND Scott Glenn. "Hey, I'm here too, dammit!"
2:07- Urban Cowboy (1980): DEFINITELY what I think of in terms of Scott Glenn movies.

Scott Glen does Martial Art training in real life. Even at his age now. He does Blade work check him out in Daredevil.
