For everyone that wants to use the cryogenic winter mod themselves, I highly recommend also downloading the 10 years later mod with it, it’s honestly really atmospheric that way
Thanks
And if you really want to suffer, use the Ridiculously Rare loot mod too
@@youch4260 ok
I love the barricaded world mod
@@NovaGirl8
Oh yeah, I use that one too, these 3 mods fit perfectly together.
That absolute chaos that ensues once you switch from easy to hard mode is surprisingly satisfying to watch. Something about you clinging to life by the skin of your teeth is just top tier content. Gone are the days of you spending 10+ days chopping trees, sawing logs, and making a highway to your fishing spot lol
Basically Terraria hardmode
this is not logical zombies can't survive in such cold.
@@tanelviil9149 Ah yes, because we know how low a temperature a zombie can survive.
@@connorbranscombe6819 Ahh yes based on the zombie lore that has been invented in almost every zombie story.
In reality of course we don't know because zombies don't exists but according to almost every lore that has been invented for story purposes , It seems they don't survive long in cold
There's something odd when zombies don't even get slowness from the cold, but they still catch fire at -100 Fahrenheit and die shortly after.
"How to survive the endless winter"
Step 1 - Spawn in a house that has everything
Legit though
fr fucking like 7 maces and a rune 2H sword ready for him
Little bit too convenient if you ask me.
this is not logical zombies can't survive in such cold.
@@tanelviil9149 then go bug the mod author, im sure he will love you
I like how he mentions his car is a love tap away from death and he'd freeze to death if that happened, driving 90 mph
Save back ups
Oh God, yes, keep this series going. It's not boring, whatsoever. The grind you have to do is actually very entertaining and educational. I have 900 days of playing regularly and seeing you survive cryogenic winter is insane but enthralling to me.
For some reason I really like cryogenic winter and I would DEFINITELY enjoy a 200, hell even 500 day series with the mod! Especially if it comes from your channel cause your content is insanely entertaining
Thinking about it. If you pick "Burglar" YOU CAN start with a balcava now which has max face insulation.
“As with other Americans, I found that the best place to train combat skills was the public school”. 💀
JUST paused to let that one soak in lmaoooo
These are my favorite videos on UA-cam. Watching you move through these long survival stretches has made me 3x the zomboid player. Hard to top your big 1000 days video (I've seen it 10 times) but this one is a strong competitor. Love the winter setting, love the tense encounters. Great work!
With the Dale Earnhardt comment I just have to leave this joke here:
What did Dale Earnhardt and Pink Floyd have in common?
Their last big hit was "The Wall"
"Since I've inherited Dale Earnhardt's driving ability"
Holy fuck, that's dark😂...
God I need Celsius translations for this. He says it gets to -100 and I'm like, huh??? You would instantly become a popsicle, zombies or not
It translates to -73.3c. Almost as bad as -100c lol I can usually convert between the two measurements fairly closely in my head, but thats for temps at or above freezing. This is too cold lol
-73.3°C is almost as cold as the coldest place on earth but not quite but that’s still arctic levels of cold. For the record the coldest place on earth is called the Pole of Cold where the temperature is -83°C
“Paul Walker a light post.” I laughed and then immediately felt like a terrible person. Well played. 👏👏👏
Loving the new editing style, and seeing how much you’ve improved from your original 1000 days series. Keep this shit up.
I learn English and its so damn hard for me to understand fast and fluent speech. But i can comprehend your speech very clear and i really love zomboid and way you play it. Thank you and "privet" from Russia!
While I would love to see more many people may just be excited about this series not because it is fun to watch but because they are wanting another series like you're 1000 days.
Its not a predz video without a car crash, dark jokes, and a bon fire. Keep up the great work, I can't wait for the next video.
It isn’t a predz playthrough without the cowboy hat.
Hey Predz, always love those survivor Videos. Really appreciate all the work that goes into making those. Can't watch the uncut raw material due to lack of time.
Please keep it up, and survive. :)
throughout the video, one question haunted me: how can zombies survive this frost when the temperature drops below -40 С? For myself, I decided that zombies will disappear after the first winter in northern countries, such as Russia or Canada.
Wouldn't the freeze just help preserve their bodies?
40 C? That's hot as fuck. Do you mean 40 F?
@@Oznerock i meant below -40 C
@@prophetofchtulhu4207 OOoooooooooooooh
@@missmia196They might not decay as much, but they would probably be unable to move in extreme cold and I doubt they could easily make their way through terrain with more than 5-6ft snow drifts, probably making hordes not possible.
Tbh, this would probably be absurdly fun with friends given if only one person has to focus fire wood, others can go loot and eventually moving bases would be very viable.
I always felt like challenges like these devolve from fun challenge and planning to masochistic boring survival after a certain point.
The beginning is always the most fun, after you become stable with supplies and a solid base, it starts to become pretty stale, since there is no more pressure of starving to death and zombies can become easy to deal with once you have enough weapons.
That's why I personally use extremely rare loot for everything, 10 years later combined with cryogenic winter, WORSE cars conditions mod, very rare generators, pitch black nights and random speed zombies. The zombies keep me on my toes at all times, there's a sense of urgency that if I don't get into a safe place before dark, it will be a death sentence and supplies are very hard to find, keeps the game interesting and fun for a while, especially with friends.

Really enjoyed this video. Your style of commentary (dead-pan kind of darker humor) is really entertaining and caught me off guard a few times with some of the jokes. Looking forward to watching some more of your zomboid content!
I'd happily watch more of this, I enjoy your commentary and it's nice to have something to just listen too
7:43 brooo LMAO I love your lil anecdotes. not even 5 minutes and you keep making me lose it again 😂
Love this!!! I've been waiting for this style of episodes for a while! This is the kind of story telling pz needs. Thank you! You made my day!
I do love how hard this is, gonna be an awesome series
Please continue, i love watching and hearing your videos while working haha The fact that it is not that attention demanding is a plus, not a minus, it is a kind of video that could last 12 hours and i could still let it play while i worked
You rock dude. Some of the best narrative gamer content on UA-cam.
Well spoken, well edited, interesting challenges, and good lo-fi tunes. Keep up the great work!
Love these videos man, keep 'em coming!
YOOOO PREDZZZ just started watching the series and if this is anything like your "I survived 1000 days" I am so freaking hype. Love your content like this man, I can really tell all the hard work and effort you put into it!! Keep it up man!
These 100 day videos are way more entertaining than they should be
Absolute fire video. Great Narration.
Good edits, awesomely spoken, and sweet background music. Keep up the awesome work!
Since he said that temperatures can go to -200 Fahrenheit, I’d say he’s playing on hard. When I used medium difficulty the temperatures only went down to about -15 Celsius and I thought that was honestly kinda boring and too easy to survive.
This was awesome, inspiring and fantastic. I’ve always been afraid to try something really hardcore as the cryo mod but I may give it a go. It looks like a lot of fun and I enjoy difficult styles. Thank you for this. Great content
i'm always impressed seeing people casually kite 50+ zombie hordes and weave through them i'm still working my way up to that skill level, great content! I'm working on a challenge using a combination of mods including cryogenic winter, dark world, and infinite snowstorm to create a snowball earth rogue planet scenario where earth is hurtling off from the sun into the cold void of space. It's extra immersive on maps like deagu or project russia for that enviromental flavor.
I used that house for my "one painful year" challenge. You can build through the window at the top of the stairs which allows you to put rain collectors up a floor and outside which allows you to have rain collectors plumbed to your inside sinks. Just a tip, good play through. Got a like for your shameless jokes.
Love Predz survival content... it's weirdly calming
I wonder if there's a way to "win" zomboid in a series, clear out all the zombies on a no respawns map, maybe a smaller one like an island or something? I'd love to see that, I love the shit out of hopeful zombie content for some reason and love the satisfaction of completing something
The game really hammers home the "This is how you died" plot and does not want a happy ending. Either you die to some mistake or become so vastly overpowered you become bored and take risks that kill you. There are mods for survivors and finding a cure so you could set a goal like creating a safe zone and finding a vaccine and eventual cure for everyone.
@@l0rf oh i know i just like completionist stuff, also subverting the "this is how you died" plot having the death be of old age lmao
@@duxwontobey4887 "this is how you died" cut to thriving community of survivors with vast farmlands and safe walls that you founded and led to prosperity, player character is nearing 105 years old and dies peacefully in their sleep. I watched this video when you uploaded it, but I wanted to come back and say that your content is awesome, and I loved watching this playthrough! Thank you. :)
literally the only thing to do in cryogenic winter:
- find/build a fire
- worship the fire
- dump everything you own on the floor
- destroy all the furniture
That's why I downloaded the easy version to add some challenge and winter/xmas vibe instead struggling too much
It would be cool if you posted the modlist for these challenges, love your videos, i binge watch them!
Listening to and watching your videos has made learning to play project zomboid so much better for me, plus it's something entertaining and soothing to listen to
Running Brita's always makes me think 1993 Kentucky was straight up *wild*- I always find 249s and K11s and that sorta thing in police stations and the gun stores
watching your videos makes me chill so damn hard good job man
As someone living in a cold climate the temperatures this mod uses are ludicrous. Being outside in the cold in anything close to -110°F, even in full winter clothing, for long enough for the time to tick up ten minutes would be more than fatal. Have the developers of this mod ever seen snow before?
Have you ever spent time at the south pole? Cuz that's really the only way you'd know what you claim to. And the average winter temp down there is -76F/-60C with the coldest ever recorded temperature being -117F/-82.8C. And they go outside and WORK in those temperatures btw.
Now with what project zomboid has to offer it may not be realistic cuz there's no way you can wear enough clothing to be okay in that temperature, but to call it "ludicrous" to even think it could work is a bit presumptuous. Just cuz you live in a colder climate doesn't mean that you're an expert on temperatures that a MINISCULE amount of the human population will ever get close to experiencing.
This was beyond fun to watch, and honestly thanks for adding the names of the songs in the top right. I wish more people would do that in videos.
Editormans here, used to be an artist so actually crediting people's work is pretty important to me
@@LittleFlame23 as another artist, couldn't agree more👍
watched the whole thing and loved it. good job !
Watching you shovel logs into the fireplace was painful haha
Much easier to initially drop them all just out of reach, fill your main inventory, walk to fireplace, add all, rinse and repeat!
Love the Paul walker every series! I would watch hours of you sitting in the living room smoking cigs! Good stuff Predz
10:30 I don't know if you know about this, but very rarely buildings can spawn as huge weapon stashes. Playing vanilla, I once found a spiffo's full to bursting with guns and ammo. I like to think it was owned by the Muldraugh mob.
I wish the snow could get deeper over time
It would functionally be quite interesting in terms of the effects it could have on the world and gameplay
And it would hide the horrific looking patches of grass all over the place
The silence after the announcement of the generator magazine kills me
That comment about upgrading your combat skill at school sent me 💀
ngl this is the most nice editing video, video goes to details, very nice. best support for u
"Now much like any other American, I found that the public schools seems to be the best place to practice my combat skills"
Jesus christ. Accurate dark humour is the best dark humour.
The little “Victory!” bit after finding the books had me cackling
You know it’s bad when you have the outdoorsman trait and STILL catch a cold.
The reason the lake house had so many weapons and food was due to it being a randomly spawned "Survivor" house. Which is why it had all the random zombies in it. It was a random event to simulate a survivor enclave that had fallen to infection.
A toilet paper house would be an amazing find. Legend has it that each little piece of t.p. takes minutes to burn...times that by 1000's and you will have unlimited fuel for you fireplace
That panic drive back at 19:09 gave me anxiety man.
Really like the editing with the animated story bits
Diferent series, same problems driving the car. Loved that
Really enjoyed this, definitely want to see more
You earned my subscription after saying "paul walkering the lightpost" that shit killed me
Subscribed out of respect for professional video editors, I didn't know how much work really went into projects like this
8:08 I just got a carvana ad saying "he knew that carvana had his back" right as he drove away with his car.
I really loved this. And i hope you can continue the series
Really love what you did with your character and the little animated scenes!
Editorman here, big thanks ♥️

Please continue this series has a fun vibe to it
7:44 Jesus Christ zero hesitation
I hope we get to see a 200 days of this
"...but apparently i have the immune system of a fucking todler" while leveling up mechanics in temperatures that could freeze carbon dioxide xD
Your content is perfect to watch as I play rimworld, also when are you planning to make a hell on earth modlist. Cyrogenic winter + don’t need the zombies + horde night
I’m from Kentucky, and honestly, I don’t blame ya 16:44 😂
A few goofs I noticed across your video.
The first being the fireplace fuel management. Putting out fire reduces the remaining fuel time by 2 hours. So if you burn the fireplace for an hour than put it out then burn it for another hour and so on you technically get only 2 hours out of a log instead of 6.
Sure, running the fureplace 100% time is not efficient too. But using tree branches or sturdy sticks to time burns at hour intervals is.
I'm not american, but from what I heard, fighting off a horde while looking for clothes is not the apocalypse.
That's just black friday.
Such a great content. Keep up the good work man!!
By the way, you can put items in your separate seats in the car to avoid walking around the car with a risk of getting eaten
This was pretty cool! Have you ever recorded the Winter Is Coming challenge?
love this series. do you happen to have a list of mods you're using? curious about the big rig you were driving
on the steam workshop search for "Autotsar Tuning Atelier - Petyarbuilt 379"
Love your vids makes me want to try this so much more keep it up I have a solo game but just still new to what to do this helps load thanks for entertaining help
This scenario really strains my suspension of disbelief. They may be walking, reanimated corpses controlled by a virus, but they are still human bodies. After two or three days of the weather conditions you are experiencing, there wouldn't be a single zombie with flesh on their bones left. Imagine how cold it would be in -100F weather... and then imagine wearing jeans and a T-Shirt and just slowly shambling around outside. They'd be frostbitten piles of bones flayed by the wind. It would make for rather boring gameplay though to only deal with the cold, of course.
Love your series 💯 Keep it up... To get even more out of the challenge turn off electricity instantly... That way home heaters won't work and it becomes very difficult to sleep when the temperature goes super low at night..I've been playing on easy mode till now not anytime switching to hard mode 😂 way too much
Excited for this series!
it wouldn't be a predz video without the questionable and controversial jokes that still somehow make me giggle
Casual 500 days 😆
Great vid!
48:33 the zombies sound like an angry pack of dogs when sped up
Honestly, I'd love to just watch the 250 hours of unedited footage lol. I enjoy the longer playthrough videos.
something about the sounds of weapons hitting zombies sped up is very satisfying
“Like most Americans I focus my combat skills on the school” ….bruh. You’re 1000% the fun one at parties.
20:46 I know this was released a while ago, but these sound like a bunch of very angry chickens chasing you when sped up.
The Kentucky slander is the best thing about this episode
"Maybe this was a psychopath's house after all."
Proceeds to take "psychopath" items, and put them in his own house. Making him a ___.
i love being from kentucky and just listening to how everyone says louisville. can easilly tell whos been there, from there, and whos never been close.
The sped up zombies sounded like bunch of tourkeys running after you xd
a panicked drive home knowing any crash would kill my engine and you still decide to take the riskiest turns but atleast it worked out
Welp, after four months I decide to finish the mega video this morning and it just so happens to coincide with another hour of PredZ survival!!
🦓💚
Id love to see a continuation, with indoor greenhouse and such. Watching the 1000 day video and the most boring parts is all the Zombie killing, the gardening etc is more interesting.
Ya know I had spent a total of 8hrs watching the 1000 days vid and realised I wasn’t even subscribed. I think that’s the first time a reminder to subscribe actually did something for me huh
