Haha, it NEVER ends with "only one"! :D I have two of these decks, the Noblet and Trionfi della Luna. I find the Trionfi simply HILARIOUS! I never wanted the Deviant Moon, it looks too hideous to me, but Trionfi are just perfect for me :) And I think that Enrique Enriquez uses both the Noblet and the Dodal by Flornoy. They are actually not redrawn, like Yoav Ben-Dov or Jodorowsky-Camoin. Flornoy cut the woodcuts himself, which I think is sooo cool! :D Now I'm waiting for the gorgeous Pablo Robledo TdM, also made with woodcuts, if I'm not mistaken.

The idea of the curved swords on the Marseille was so if you place two sword cards side bey side you get an ( allmost ) perfect circle. I can't see that happening with the swords in that last marshmallow deck, but I guess that's all part of the " marshmallow" style . Thanks for the video btw.
Tom......I've come late in my life to tarot. I'm studying RWS, right now, but you and TarotMap got me very interested in Marseilles. I love, love, love your videos. You know what would be great? Public TV has a "Create" channel. You should approach them for a weekly show! That would be so wonderful! You could do much of what you already do, but include guests, etc.! They REALLY need something new. What do you think? Anybody?
Goodness, I have all but 2 of these decks (the Noir and the Marshmallow) and you've just talked me into both! I agree with you completely re: loving the "handmade" feel of that Marshmallow deck. I love seeing the little "mistakes", the character...glad I stumbled across this video today...even though it will cost me. :P

Indeed- looks like the TdM is making a major comeback (well.. compared) lately and is catching more attention. I wonder if it's the case of the universal mind or is it just that so many are shifting to the next level. I was absolutely not interested in anything TdM just a few months ago until in July I suddenly discovered I don't like so many decks I liked before and woke up one morning with a strong wish to get the classic TdM deck among other derivations :D Go figure. At least for myself it feels I'm finally on the right place, the search is over and the historical decks it is for me. From the pips I came and to the pips I shall return... corny but true :D
I have three of these four. I was put off by the name of the Marshmallow assuming it to be a cutesy deck, but it seems charming rather than cute and I regret not purchasing it. I'm with you, I totally adore Le Tarot Noir. It's gorgeous!
Just a quick note: The absence of racial identifiers or the inclusion of green and purple creatures of a fantastic nature does make a card deck “diverse.”

I really liked your video on the marseille! I only have the trionfi dela luna in english. I like the dark comedic deck so scary and otherworldly yet cute haha. But Seeing the marshmellow made me want to have it to use it for friends and scare them hahahaha. Anyways! Thank you!

You started right off with one of my favorite decks. It's so yummy!!! I do like using the majors for the houses for my majors on majors spread and the larger size works well with that.

You would love the 1JJ Swiss Marseilles Deck. The cards have added numbers at the bottom so you can read reversals. It was my very first Tarot deck that I bought in probably 1970 or 71. I’ll do a walkthrough for you soon. Way back then I didn’t understand or appreciate the deck. Looking at it with fresh, More mature eyes, and I’m loving it. Did you ever get your Hermit tattoo?

I have been SEARCHING for Tarot Noir and can’t find it ANYWHERE! It hurts me... LMAO it looks delicious! I got the Noblet a couple weeks ago and love it too! I keep it in my Murse with me all the time LOL. I think the Triomfi could be fun to work with... one thing I noticed that would be interesting to work with is in the Cups playing with the cups that are full and the ones that are empty... I’ve never seen a deck that varies that...
