Another great interview! It so interesting on hearing Lauren's transition from Stanford to UCLA. Even though that was her dream school overall she wasn't happy. Sometimes what we want and dream about, is not what's best us. Glad she's happy now. I'm interested on hearing more from college athletes on why they enter the transfer portal. Again terrific interview!

Hearing Lauren and Liz Kitley speak their voices are much deeper than usual. Being so tall I guess that does make for deeper voices

Betts is a woman and that is her voice, therefore it is a woman's voice.
Can't believe she left the best university in the country, with the best coach and a storied women's basketball program, for what? NIL $$? Playing time that she would've surely gotten this year? Doesn't make sense to me. Big mistake imo and kind of sad when players don't honor their original commitments. But that's the world we live in these days in college basketball. If things get tough, just go somewhere else.
How does one share such a strong opinion with ZERO knowledge? NONE of the 4 players who left in the last 2 years left for NIL. Coaches make commitments to players and make commitments to parents to take care of their kids. I’d LOVE to see at least some accountability there. But no. Let’s keep looking for opportunities to bash the athlete.
How do you listen to this conversation and hear her say she transferred to prioritize herself and her happiness and come away with this response. Coaches have commitments to players but are allowed to change schools at will and chase the money, transfer portal equals the playing field

@@allysonlyga4742 Scenerio is more like: Coach makes practice hard and doesn't play you much because you can't get up and down the court and also because there are at least 3 other post players behind you who are equally talented and upperclassmen. So, instead of waiting your turn, you dishonor your commitment and transfer. "Prioritizing her happiness" Can't quite buy that one. Sorry, not sorry.
