Tutorial 66: Port forwarding and mikrotik remote access anywhere with the help of PPPTP & L2TP

To access a Mikrotik router through a VPN, you will need to set up a VPN client on your computer or device, and then connect to the VPN server. Here is a general outline of the steps you can follow:
Configure the VPN server on your Mikrotik router. This can be done through the Mikrotik RouterOS web interface, or through the command line interface (CLI).
Install a VPN client on your computer or device. There are many options available, including open-source clients such as OpenVPN, as well as commercial clients like NordVPN or ExpressVPN.
Connect to the VPN server using the VPN client. This will typically involve entering the IP address or hostname of the VPN server, as well as any necessary authentication credentials.
Once connected to the VPN, you should be able to access the Mikrotik router as if you were on the same local network. You can do this by visiting the router's web interface, or by using the CLI over an SSH connection.
Note that VPN access to a Mikrotik router is only possible if the router has been configured to support VPN connections. If you are not sure whether this is the case, you should check with the router's administrator or refer to the documentation for the router.
