ഒരു തിരുത്ത് ഉണ്ട്, ജോജി ജോമോനോട് കയർത്ത് സംസാരിക്കുന്നത് ജോമോൻ നാട്ടുകാര് കല്ലറ പൊളിച്ച് പോസ്റ്റ്മോർട്ടം ചെയ്യണം എന്നൊക്കെ പറയുന്നുണ്ട്, അവന്മാര് അങ്ങനെ ചെയ്യട്ടെ എന്ന് പറയുമ്പോൾ ആണ്. താൻ പിടിക്കപ്പെടും എന്നുള്ള ഭയം കൊണ്ടാണ് അത്.
ഉണ്ണി പറയാത്ത മറ്റൊരു കാര്യം.. കുട്ടപ്പൻ ജെയ്സൺ നോടും പരുക്കൻ സ്വഭാവം ആണ്.. പ്രത്യക്ഷത്തിൽ അയാളോട് അങ്ങനെ കാണിക്കേണ്ട കാര്യം ഒന്നും ആ സിനിമയിൽ കണ്ടില്ല. ഇത്രയും ആളുകൾ ഉള്ള വീട്ടിൽ ഒരു ജോലിക്കാരിയെ പോലും വയ്ക്കാതെ ജൈസന്റെ ഭാര്യ ആണ് എല്ല പണിയും എടുക്കുന്നത്. അവർക്കു മാറി താമസിക്കണം എന്ന് പറയുമ്പോഴും അപ്പൻ ഇഷ്ടപ്പെടുന്നില്ല. അവരുടെ എന്തോ ആവശ്യത്തിനു പണം ചോദിക്കുമ്പോഴും അത് പ്രോത്സാഹിപ്പിക്കുന്നില്ല. പിന്നെ അപ്പന്റെ ബാത്‌റൂമിൽ മാത്രം ആണ് geaser ഉള്ളത്.. ഇതൊക്കെ ഒരു വളരെ കോൺട്രോളിങ് അയ അപ്പനെ ആണ് കാണിക്കുന്നത്. ഇവിടെ jjoji യുടെ സ്വഭാവം മാത്രം അല്ല ഈ situation നു കാരണം..അപ്പന്റെ ഓവർ കോൺട്രോളിങ് അതിൽ വലിയ പങ്കു വഹിക്കുന്നുണ്ട്.. ഇവിടെ joji യെ ഒരിക്കലും justify ചെയ്യുന്നില്ല.. പക്ഷെ എല്ലാവരിലും ഉള്ളത് ഗ്രേ shades ആണ്.. ഈ സിനിമയിൽ ആരും പൂർണമായി ശരിയോ തെറ്റോ അല്ല..
ഇതിലെ ബിൻസി സൈലന്റ് കില്ലർ ആണ്. ജോജി അപ്പനെ കൊല്ലാൻ പ്ലാൻ ചെയ്യുന്ന കാര്യം വരെ കണ്ട ആളാണ് ബിൻസി. ബിൻസിയും അപ്പന്റെ മരണം കാത്ത് നിന്ന വ്യക്തിയാണ്. പല സീനികളിലും ഇത് കാണാം. "നിന്റെയൊക്കെ ജീവിതം ഈ സ്‌ലാബിൽ ഭക്ഷണം കഴിച്ചു തീരും " എന്ന ഡയലോഗ് മറ്റൊരു ഉദാഹരണമാണ്. ബിൻസിയാണ് ഇതിലെ ഒറിജിനൽ psycho

ശരീരികവും ബുദ്ധിപരവുമായി വളരുമ്പോളും സാമൂഹികമായും വൈകാരികമായും വളരാതെ കൊച്ചു കുട്ടിയായി തുടരുന്ന ഒരാളാണ് ജോജി. ഈ ഡയലോഗ് കൃത്യമായി തെളിയിക്കുന്നത് അതാണ്. വാസ്തവത്തിൽ ജോജിയും സാഹചര്യങ്ങളും ഒരു പോലെ പ്രതിയാണ്.
ജോജി അപ്പന്റെ മുറിയിലോട്ട് വന്നതിന് ശേഷം അപ്പൻ pursel നിന്ന് എടുത്തോ എന്ന് പറയുന്നതിന് മുന്നേ ആ purse ലക്ഷ്യമാക്കി പോകുന്നുണ്ട്. അതും ജോജിയുടെ character വ്യക്തമാകുന്നുണ്ട്

സിനിമ കണ്ടുകൊണ്ടിരുന്നപ്പോഴും കുട്ടപ്പനോട് ആണ് respectum ishtavum തോന്നിയത്, oru പകുതിയിൽ കുട്ടപ്പൻ മരിക്കേണ്ടതില്ലാതെ കഥ പോയിരുന്നെങ്കിൽ എന്നു തോന്നി കാരണം അയാളുടെ padanathil എല്ലാവരും സന്തോഷിക്കുന്നു, but ആ സാമ്രാജ്യം അത്രേം കെട്ടിപൊക്കിയത് അയാളുടെ ഒരാളുടെയും മാത്രം കഷ്ടപ്പാട് ആണ്
Joji is character who feels he's extremely weak and he's ashamed of it and he tries to run away from that truth. His main motive is to feel powerful by whatever means he can and that drove him to do the unthinkable Joji grown up in a family that values strength and domination more than anything, being the youngest in the family and being physically weak he might have grown up with least respect & value from others and might have been bullied at a very young age by his elder brothers, so his personal reality and inherited belief systems doesn't correspond and therefore is under a huge reality shock so Joji is bound to grow up with low self-esteem and low self-worth . Look at the uncle character (shammy thilkan) even he only gives importance to money and power and doesn't show any importance to human bonding , so that's how kuttappans family thinks.
May be, but joji has an inherently devilish nature which was dormant only till he got an opportunity to do the "unthinkable ", which none of the others in the family dared to do. Yes, he might have been bullied, but he himself is a bully to poppy and even to the workers. He is not a good person. Most characters in the movie are not good. However joji is evil. That's what makes him stand apart from the rest.

Joji was most vulnerable of the lot in "mental strength" and Bincy inadvertently took advantage of it. This is human behavior and it applies to all of us. Very well said. I agree to what you said. Thanks for the video. Just wanted to share some of my thoughts too. Joji is an amazing and well crafted movie. An idle mind is a devils furnace holds true in Jojis case. Joji is the story of a villain, the title antagonist. What is revealed progressively in the movie is the workings of a twisted and convoluted mind of an extremely selfish and self centred criminal. You can only stare in shock as Jojis character is unravelled completely. He is everything what one should not be.
Although this film is based on Macbeth, I am reminded of story that I had heard of a family that lived in Kochi. A very rich businessman of the 60s and 70s controlled his children and their lives and never gave them a penny. After his death, the children squandered all the money their father made and ended up on the street. I have come across a few Joji's and Kuttapans in my own family and in the society. Joji is character who feels he's extremely weak and he's ashamed of it and he tries to run away from that truth. His main motive is to feel powerful by whatever means he can and that drove him to do the unthinkable
Joji grown up in a family that values strength and domination more than anything, being the youngest in the family and being physically weak he might have grown up with least respect & value from others and might have been bullied at a very young age by his elder brothers, so his personal reality and inherited belief systems doesn't correspond and therefore is under a huge reality shock so Joji is bound to grow up with low self-esteem and low self-worth .
Look at the uncle character (shammy thilkan) even he only gives importance to money and power and doesn't show any importance to human bonding , so that's how kuttappans family thinks.
May be, but joji has an inherently devilish nature which was dormant only till he got an opportunity to do the "unthinkable ", which none of the others in the family dared to do. Yes, he might have been bullied, but he himself is a bully to poppy and even to the workers. He is not a good person. Most characters in the movie are not good. However joji is evil. That's what makes him stand apart from the rest.

Just wanted to share some of my thoughts too. Joji is an amazing and well crafted movie. An idle mind is a devils furnace holds true in Jojis case. Joji is the story of a villain, the title antagonist. What is revealed progressively in the movie is the workings of a twisted and convoluted mind of an extremely selfish and self centred criminal. You can only stare in shock as Jojis character is unravelled completely. He is everything what one should not be.

Although this film is based on Macbeth, I am reminded of story that I had heard of a family that lived in Kochi. A very rich businessman of the 60s and 70s controlled his children and their lives and never gave them a penny. After his death, the children squandered all the money their father made and ended up on the street. I have come across a few Joji's and Kuttapans in my own family and in the society.
