I would like to express my gratitude for creating numerous informative videos for young drivers. I successfully passed my road test on September 13th, on my first attempt. Your videos were incredibly helpful in clearing up any confusion. Thank you so much!
Thank you very much for the videos. I nailed it yesterday at lougheed and your video's really really helped me achieve that success. Class 5 , had never driven around Burnaby either. Blessings to you for offering up these free video's 🙏 Sincerly appreciate you.
What's the point in shoulder checking during a left turn at lights? If something was in your blind spot it would have been run over by the last car that passed you in the opposing direction
Your video is really helpful I watch today before going for exam regarding shoulder check and line change and I passed my test really appreciate you are a good teacher. Thanks
Yaaaasss! I’ve been waiting for this video! Thank you for creating this content on lane changes and shoulder checks…very helpful for a newbie on the road like me😅
Bro i love ur videos i legit just binged watched like most of them like a tv show i just got my N 3 weeks ago but i am trying to get better so i can get ready for class 5!
Hi! Thank you so much for answering all of my questions via comments. I was wondering if swerving around parked cards in streets is considered a lane change in different scenarios 1)residential streets with no lanes, 2)with one yellow line and you are crossing it partially, 3) with one yellow line and you have to completely go into the incoming traffic lane. I always shoulder check but I wonder if I have to signal left and right when swerving around. Thank you!
Everything depends on the situation and how it's done. If you do it safely and legally then should be fine. Don't pass on solid white and double yellow lines.
you goodÉ but on road test probably it"s still not enough shoulder checks.(C) examinator. my head was like disco ball . but it was not enough. i should to be ninja.
Your videos are very helpful I received my driver’s license after 6 months of trying but I wasn’t taught changing lanes because it wasn’t going to be on the road test also I had a new driving instructor‼️So after getting license i can’t drive because I can’t change lanes what should I do❓
Correct me if I'm wrong, but as I understand it you're supposed to look in the direction your vehicle is moving, so when backing up, you shouldn't be looking anywhere but behind you once you've completed your mirror and 360 checks. This is contrary to your actions at 3:25 were you rely solely on your mirrors.
Hey i was wondering do you have to shoulder check even when your turning left? My driving instructor is telling me i dont have to on left turns i have my test this friday
@@spindrivingschoolbookedtil7125 ok cool thank you. Ya it's very weird she's telling me that I could fail if I shoulder check on left turns and that seemed odd to me. So on the test shoulder check on every turn?
Hi, I have a question regarding shoulder check. Do I need to do shoulder check twice for every turn? One would be half block of approaching to intersection and another one is exactly right before turning, is it true?
Hi , I have a question in residential areas should we drive 50km/H Right ! But seems to be too narrow and a lot of cars parked in two sides of the road! I'm confused .Thank you
I know you have to shoulder check for your driving test but if people don't know what they are supposed to be looking for they just are acting like trained chickens. Truck drivers don't shoulder check because they have convex mirrors and most importantly they have situational and temporal awareness. Teaching people to get their license is one thing, teaching them how to drive well is a whole other thing. You can also lean forwards to see further out in your mirrors and you can also set them to be angled out a lot further than you showed. The only time I shoulder check in a car is when I actually am not sure at all of what is in my blind spot.
why is it not taught to students this way? Every where . Mirrors are very hard for beginners to see what it is we must learn. you show us cars while you are not even moving.Every once in a while I get to see a decent film.
you must teach how to tell it safe to move to other lane . it not just say shoulder check to a first time learner,. We do not know yet how to tell distances by mirrors. Just a thought for future films.
One day many years ago driver and me passenger . He did shoulder ceck , he had lot traffic , he looking , looking, I knew if he had an opening he be go. I saw two bikecycles they split up one in back one in front of car . The driver did not know they there . they not look again they just go . I said Stop. He did . all safe. You got to watch.

so FYI do not worry how many times you mention shoulder check or mirrors more often is great.
Can you do a video, on handling the wheel w/ the push pull method?

Sure, i would signal on the test.

I wish you had in view the side mirror as you turn or going to so we can see cars behind you.

Im looking behind and checking my mirrors. It's totally fine.
Hey i was wondering do you have to shoulder check even when your turning left? My driving instructor is telling me i dont have to on left turns i have my test this friday
Hi, yes you should. I teach to shoulder check on all turns.
@@spindrivingschoolbookedtil7125 ok cool thank you. Ya it's very weird she's telling me that I could fail if I shoulder check on left turns and that seemed odd to me. So on the test shoulder check on every turn?
failed my test today because of inconsistent 360 and shoulder checks 😥
That is unfortunate but very common.
Thanks for your video! What situation that I need to do a 360 check? Thank you!
Any time before you reverse.
Hi, I have a question regarding shoulder check. Do I need to do shoulder check twice for every turn? One would be half block of approaching to intersection and another one is exactly right before turning, is it true?
Hi. Once is enough but if you're stopping for anything i.e (red lights, stop signs) then its good to shoulder check again.
@@spindrivingschoolbookedtil7125 thank you for your hints. Your videos are so informative and I did pass road test class 5 today. I appreciate it 🙏
@@amirhosseinhasani5158 Excellent. Thank you!!!!!
I can do two shoulder checks before signal and then before turning. Is this good or bad?
Sure but its too many.
is it okay to do shoulder check a bit early just like 5 seconds
Yes, not too early though.
Do you shoulder check right after your signal ?
Yes.
Mirror, signal, shoulder check.
Why shoulder check on left unprotected turn ? Thank you
Because you never know and safety wins. Cyclists and pedestrians can be very irrational.
Very well put :)

I'm confused .Thank you
No 30-40km is recommended unless a speed limit is posted.

A person could get a sore neck with all that shoulder checking. But if they want it for the road test, then better more than less.

Not sure. But it should be!!!!
Hi would like lessons from u
I usually shoulder check once before I stop, once right before I turn, will that be fine for the test?
Yes, that should be fine.
you must teach how to tell it safe to move to other lane . it not just say shoulder check to a first time learner,. We do not know yet how to tell distances by mirrors. Just a thought for future films.
Its the most stupid rule in the world. I mean shoulder check..
Agree. Its not practical everytime.its not not useful either
So shoulder check on left turns for the test is a good thing correct?
Yes.
Are you not supposed to stop before the white line at an intersection then creep up again? ua-cam.com/video/uJ4w63wZyFQ/v-deo.html
If there is a line then yes!!! But not 3 way or 4 way STOPS!!!!

This why you should not take coke before you drive.
20 or less by firetruck is better .
