Hi Katie, I have just come across your videos for the first time, I have just started getting into podcasting and I am yet to record my intro, I love how you explain obvious things without being condescending at the same time! Thanks for the video!
How is it working out for you? I've just started my podcast journey and looking into everything from intro/outro, music, etc etc so haven't actually started anything yet.
Thanks, Katie. I use a different audio editor, but I simply couldn't figure out how to duck the music beneath the voice over. This was so easy. Thanks again!
Very helpful. I am putting together a sample intro and discovering all the challenges. One of the biggest is getting music and voice to sit nicely together. EQ is a part of the solution.
Girl! Your Videos are Gold! I love the way you explain things and give examples of what your describing. I'd love to hear a sample of what you're doing in the video though. Thanks for Sharing!
1:45 Great video. True Story: went to listen to intro of one of my fav podcasts... typed in social media and saw you, Creator Club 😂 That was pretty neat. I love the internet.
Great tutorial, thank you! I'm hoping to create an intro in audacity. Question: couldn't you also simply record what you want to say directly in Riverside?
hi im ariel and im starting to build my own podcast show that i want to launch in 2021. i didnt think i needed into music but that was to match me and the content i wanna share
So helpful! Do I need to adjust the audio volume as well? Not sure what I should set it to! Its a lot louder than normal volume for my computer setting though
You should set the volume of your voice at a comfortable level. When the music is on it's own, go for the same level as your voice. When the music is under your voice, turn it way down
Hi Katie! So grateful for this tutorial, thank you! Can you direct me to any video you share about how to make the actual Podcast Audio sound a bit better? I'm recording straight into Audacity via my USB Blue Yeti. Thank you
Do you recommend editing your podcasts on Audacity as well so it is an easier fade? And if so, can you use recorded audio from a zoom call (if I do a remote interview) as an import into Audacity?
"Artlist, awesome! I just want to download one song for my podca... (Sees $199 billed annually).. nevermind. UA-cam vids, hi!" - But in all seriousness, thanks so much for this vid!
Script. Tone/Brand voice. Quick and Snappy. Listen to fav podcast for ideas as Jam. Communicate what you can offer. Show them your socmed platforms. Memorize scripts but still natural in speaking.. Record clips. Import for editing. Pick royalty free background music. Edit via audacity. Pause for 5-7 secs before speaking. Use fade in and out effects..
The ducking button is not there anymore! Can you create another video on audio ducking? I've tried autoduck and it works pretty well, but I'm having a hard time manually changing things like volume of the background music.
Anyone using artist make sure to note that there is no monthly subscription option. It can be a little misleading on the website but it is not billed monthly. its a annual charge of at least $199
Hi! I'm a teacher, and I'm teaching a podcasting class for the first time. My students have Chromebooks, which means it's not Windows or Mac. Everything has to be online. Any recommendations free online editing sites? Thank you!!
