The conch (or Shankha in Sanskrit) is considered much older than the Damarukam (a type of drum).
Conch (Shankha): The conch has been a sacred object in Hinduism and other cultures for thousands of years. It is mentioned in ancient Hindu texts such as the Vedas and the Mahabharata, which date back as early as 1500 BCE. The Shankha is also used in rituals, as a war trumpet, and as a symbol of Vishnu in Hindu iconography.
Damarukam: The Damaru is often associated with Lord Shiva and is a relatively later development in the historical context, especially compared to the conch. While it also has deep symbolic meaning in Hinduism, it appears more prominently in Puranic literature and iconography related to Shiva. The Damaru's association with Shiva is more central to post-Vedic traditions, around the first millennium BCE.
Thus, the conch is much older, being referenced in texts dating back over 3,000 years, while the Damaru appears later in the religious traditions associated with Shiva.

In Ireland there is an ancient shiva linga on the hill of Tara. In ancient times they worshiped the pashupati form of shiva. The story behind that is that their were people called Sidhe there who were the descendents of Danu, danavins. I known in Indian mythology they are regarded as deamons but in ancient Europe they were not
Yes my friend. What we Indians call demons or Asura , I think they worshiped Ahura Mazda. Just like Sindhu river is pronounced Hindu, Ahura is pronounced Asura.
As India has many Gods but we all worship one ultimate God called Paramatma or the supreme spirit. All other Gods are different manifestations of that Supreme Spirit.
I worship lord Shiva because He never did discrimination between Devas and Asuras. He was worshiped by all.

But there is also a fact in our mythology that Devas and Asuras were half brothers. Their father was sage Kasyap. Mother of Devas was Aditi and mother of Asuras was Diti.

Those people who worship Ahura originally come from up near the north pole Airyana Vaeja, they had to migrate out when the ice age started and the land became impossible to grow crops. All the countries around the North pole worshipped asuras, they are the old gods of those people for example Thor (Indra), Poseidon (Varuna), Cernunnos (pashupati), sun etc. They also have a sacred river that descends from the sky like ganga in india
