Saw a Himalayan 450 yesterday in Chandigarh near gurudwara chowk and trust me it's road presence was just like another bike. It passed by and I didn't even know it was Himalayan 450 until I saw the meter console and integrated brake light with indicator.
i think that if there are no niggling issues with the liquid cooled engine, the himalayan would be the perfect 2nd bike.. GT for office and weekend runs.. himalayan for the long rides!!
brother really important question if you can help .. i just bought gt rocker red and wanted to ask when you went to spiti.. how did the seat,clutch n engine heat perform? i’ve done long routes on my gt 535 but riding this for 2 hours gave me wrist pain.. i am planning to go to spiti.. it’ll be helpful if you can throw some light on these points
Bike will perform without any issue, if you are fit means no pain in the shoulder blades then in one day 200-250 km easily otherwise these kind of km will be a long and painful stretch, don’t go alone because alone you hesitate to take breaks and will fatigue you easily, also stock seat is only good for 100km max
Gt 650 hai mere pas bhi same colour like yours Mere pas bhi 2nd bike ka budget nahi hai Aur touring offroad mujhe bhi karna hai Aur downgrade hogi power wo bhi regret nahi chaiiye Now I am damn confused Please help me please
See bhai. Himalayan bhot achchi bike hai sab theek hai. But please don't sell the gt. It's a masterpiece by RE. Being an interceptor owner, I can relate. Maine bhi yhi socha tha. To sell my interceptor and buy the himalayan. But no. Rather I would suggest save some money and then buy the himalayan as secondary bike for touring. Of course the choice and decision is yours. 😃
Bro anyone kindly advise me ...which bike should i buy Himalayan 452 of gt 650 ...i like to go long trip and daily usage .., road presence and please advise ...price range is not different for both bikes im confused gt 650 instrument cluster is old model compare to himalayan ....advise bro? 650 Engine is far superior to him 450, just go take the test ride and you will fall in love with it, it pulls heavy even in mountains. Also u mention long rides so don’t go for GT try interceptor because 1) it’s cheaper then GT 2) you always convert it into a gt. Important if you only wants to travel long and roads are very very bad in you area then go for Himalayan. Stop worrying about instrument console it will serve the same purpose, for navigation also Himalayan console is not very well received by the buyers so far. My advice if you wants to love every time you start your motorcycle go for 650

The GT is one of the best looking bikes on the road whereas the Himalayan is one of the ugliest.
This would be a major downgrade in aesthetics
