On the twentieth anniversary of my first Christmas musical “Noel, Jesus Is Born” I felt the Lord speak to me telling me to pick my favorites from the seven Christmas musicals He had already given me. The challenge was overwhelming choosing from over seventy Lanny Wolfe Christmas Finally, the list was whittled down to twenty songs-one song to celebrate each of the past 20 years.
The only song in the musical that had not been previously included in a musical was the title song “The Greatest Story.” Four songs from the first musical “Noel, Jesus Is Born “arranged by Don Marsh-Cherish That Name, Rejoice With Exceeding Great Joy, Wisemen Still Seek Him, and No Room, were included . . . this time arranged with the fingerprint of the legendary Lari Goss.
The Greatest Story is really a ‘best of the best’ of all of the Christmas songs from the first seven Lanny Wolfe Christmas musicals and what I would consider my finest effort, along with Lari Goss’s arrangements, to tell THE GREATEST STORY ever told! Enjoy!
