As a Ford truck guy my all time favorite car is the 1964 1/2 which I had 30 years ago and wish I had never sold it. The ‘68 Chevy Camaro is my 2nd favorite followed by the ‘70 Chevy Chevelle. Had both about 20 years ago. My Dad had a ‘87 Buick GNX. I was amazed at the speed that car had! He wanted to give me the car but I thought it was a “old man car.” Boy, was I wrong! I really enjoy your Camaro build series! Makes me remember wrenching with my Dad as he was teaching me about vehicles. I’m 59 years old now and he’s passed away so your videos let me remember those days! Now, I wrench with my 31 year old son & enjoy those times as well. Even my 5 year old granddaughter (his daughter) loves to hand me a wrench and ask questions, lol! I can’t wait to hear her fire up!
That is amazing to hear. I'm really happy to hear you share that. And dang!!!! You had some absolutely amazing cars back in the day. I would love to restore one of them but this 3rd gen has been expensive enough hahaha. Thank you again and I'm really glad you enjoy the videos.
I'll have more coming. It all depends on transmission and length of splines and slip yoke combination but most would recommend 2 inches of engagement at all times.
With my 4L60e my stock driveshaft seems to be an inch or so too long. Using hawks engine and trans mounts with a 9 bolt stock rear. Any thoughts? My car is an 89
This guy is smart enough to choose cost over an extra gear.
Ya the deal i got on this with the new torque converter included in couldn't pass it up.

Finally been waiting for another Camaro video. Question, once it’s installed how much should be in the housing?

Mine too. I have a 4l80 with a 4th gen rear end. It’s about an inch too long. What’s the best route to take?
You can take your driveshaft to a driveshaft shop and they can cut it and balance it for you. Shouldn't cost very much.
@@TonyTheTechnician thanks man. That’s what I did. Also needed a new slip yoke, the spines were twisted not allowing it to seat all the way in
How long is your drive shaft
