In North Kent June was pretty cool with NE wind blowing off the North Sea. It was dry and sunny but that wind had a real nip to it. Great pod cast again guys I listen every week.

Super Typhoon Solsa was a strong yet small compact typhoon, the impact was short lived and not as severe as that of Super Typhoon Mangkhut which was a much bigger, hence the duration was a lot longer in 2018.

Isn´t "rapid intensification" now a common occurence if a tropical system develops? I cannot recall such a frequent growth during the 80s. I may be mistaken but back then huricanes grew predictably slow. Idalia on the other hand grew fom a mere cyclone to a 400km diameter cat3 monster within 24 hrs?!
